Hate to bring this back up but I know Floppa is a proud guy and was apparently pretty devastated about his embarassing about-face in November so I'd think he wouldn't be saying much unless he really had a good shot at coming back.

http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=337223

Says the foot is "going to be 100%" and he is "very hopeful" of a comeback before the trade deadline/roster freeze in Feb. Noncommital about potential teams, other than that it will be a contender. Also says that while he hasn't been skating he is in otherwise great shape.

Sounds like we'll know in a couple weeks if this is more drama or the real deal.

Oooh, "sources" believe they have some information...

Philadelphia Inquirer wrote:
Is today the day? According to sources close to Peter Forsberg, the Swedish center is ready to announce a decision on whether he will return to the NHL. The Flyers have not been informed of such, according to club president Peter Luukko. Over the weekend, the Flyers were not optimistic that Forsberg, 34, would return to the NHL this season. If he does, the Flyers appear to be his first choice.

How awesome would it be if he calls a massive press conference just to say ".....no."

Better than Scotty Nieds having a press conference every few weeks to say "......I haven't made a decision yet."

Dear God... please tell me I'm mis-translating this. Laughing

Are they saying Chicago has offered him $11m PER SEASON???? For this year and the next TWO? Or is it a deal that would give him $11m over the course of the 3 year contract?

Now he says maybe he's not done, there is still a week left. I take back what I said in the original post about Floppa being a proud guy - he's acting more like a jackass attention whore.
