This will be Markus Näslund's 1000th NHL game.

And the Canucks will be playing without a defense.

This one is going to suck the big one.

We've sucked the past 2 so it's the battle of who will suck less. Let's see if Detroit can break out of it's funk.

Just means Detroit is due for a win, and Vancouver will be very ripe for the picking tonight. There's no way Detroit loses 4 straight.

Earlier in the season the Canucks did some remarkable things each time they were injury-decimated, but lady luck has her time of the month every now and then.

Mind you, either of Salo or Mitchell may very well be in the lineup after all, but you have to think each is well way from 100%.

I'm sitting Luongo in my pool tonight so he'll probably pull a shutout out of his ass like Legace did.

Nice long pass by Edler. Pyatt didn't capitalize.

It's up to Naslund to have one of his better games tonight, the forwards to tighten up and backcheck and Luongo to be Luongo. Hasek looks sharp early.

Luongo's had a few shots on him, but mostly harmless outside stuff. Anyone see if that Cleary shot was tipped?

Cleary tips a point shot from Lilja for a 1-0 lead! It might have hit a Nucks stick on the way as well. Friggin hell, that was a tip with a bounce off of the ice on the far side. No chance on that.

Great work from Filppula along the boards, perfect soft pass to Cleary and a perfect that I don't think Bobby Lou was expecting...

Great stop by Luongo on Cleary resulting from his own huge rebound.

Red Wings announcers just pointed out that Van hasn't had a shot in 18 minutes Shocked

Vancouver finally gets some pressure on the Wings. Salo lets a slapper go and the rebound bounces past 2 wings right onto Henrik's stick with the soccer-style net in front of him.

Someone on Van just did it. Tried to stickhandle around Datsyuk as the last man back. This time the defender was successful. However, it still mystifies me that people still pull a basic hockey no-no against Datsyuk of all people.

Now Henrik makes a sweet move on Cleary at his own blue line, takes it in, gives it to Naslund who buries it from the corner off of whose skate?

Why, Brian Rafalski of course! :Chris18:

Oh yeah, trying to jam on the brakes when Luongo's own guy is angling him into him, and Filppula tries to jump out of the way. Real intent to injure there Rolling Eyes Unless you're just fucking around Very Happy

And this thread was started by RW, not the Nuckers Laughing

Filppula with a nice hold and then pass to Samuelsson streaking down the right side. Luongo challenges way the hell out, and of course instead of holding and circling, Samuelsson just shoots a zero-chance shot.

Friggin Luongo Mad

Man I love that guy Mad
