I really am impressed by how quickly Vesa's gaffe got on YouTube, I must say. If Leafs fans are good for anything... _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. clearly Vesa never played Ball Hawk.
Good thing they came back and now he can laugh about it as well. The least that team owes him. _________________ psssssssssssssshhh....bing bong ping bong bing bong...pssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh. |

True, but that said I myself I've never seen a puck bounce like that. I mean I've seen them kick up or bounce once maybe twice but never over and over, still a screw up but I can certainly understand him not having a plan for that situation. _________________ psssssssssssssshhh....bing bong ping bong bing bong...pssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh. |

Oh yeah, it was definitely taking crazy bounces. But on any long shots, ANY at all whether they're bouncing or just coming straight down the ice, my plan is always to get my chest centered to the shot to get as much as my body in front of it to stop it. Who knows, maybe he did before that last bounce _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Just like in baseball, always get your body in front of the ball. _________________

I still think Roy's is the worse given the circumstances and why it happened. _________________ psssssssssssssshhh....bing bong ping bong bing bong...pssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh. |

The other night in floor hockey I pulled a MAF.
Then I got a puck in the eye. No damage, though it bent my specs a bit. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? Anything that doesn't mention that I masturbate over her memory is probably a good idea."

Couldn't find that Hall of Diving Shame thread, but here's a nice one of Hemsky diving during a PP in the 3rd in the hopes of drawing a penalty - refs don't call it and the play goes the other way for a 4-1 goal. Brutal...

After Trevor Linden scored a shorthanded goal that came following a battle for the puck that saw Oiler Ales Hemsky fall to the ice.
The crowd wanted a tripping penalty and didn't get one. "That was stick on stick and he went down," said Linden. "That's not a trip."

| Looks like it should have been both tripping and a dive... and it was offside at the other end... |

Linden was dragging his leg like a foot outside of the line when the puck crossed. That's not offside _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

That's alright, the Canucks didn't need it anyway, they'd already mostly buried the Oil anyway. I love the fact that Linden motioned the dive as he was going up on the rush. |

Cloutier takes that hands down. Up in series 3-1. The whole series changed because of that goal. He will never live it down! |

Well, it was 2-0 in the series, but Detroit had been outplaying Van badly in those first two games anyways. Almost every goal that Van got in those first two games were friggin bounces. Detroit finally got one at Cloutier's expense...The Roy Statue of Liberty was the same playoff year, but in the WCF with Colorado holding a 3-2 series lead. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!
