Well, they've got a mountain to climb now. Down 2-1 to the Blues at the second intermission.
Luongo didn't look good on either goal; he's allowed 2 goals on 15 shots - that's an .867 save percentage. I think Jyrki21 is right; his mind is elsewhere. This break couldn't come at a better time. With the exception of the Detroit game, he really hasn't played a good game for some time. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

Daniel scores the winner in the SO, with a slick move...
Bobby Luo shuts out the Blues in the third, OT and SO to give them a chance; Ohlund gets his second on the PP. If only Burrows had better hands, he seems to be getting tons of chances - at one point, Shorthouse mentioned he'd had 15 shots in the last three games, and only one goal to show for it.
1-17-1 when trailing after 2. Law of averages finally rules in favor of Vancouver [/jyrki21] _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

I only saw the third period (online), and Luongo looked outstanding, particularly with that crazy reflex-save on what looked to be the game.
The shootout was nerve-wracking but man, what a sweet goal by Daniel (as one HFBoards poster commented, that goal should at least supplant Byron Ritchie for the rest of the season ), and Luongo stood tall when it mattered most (notwithstanding the Perron post). _________________

He definitely picked up his game; Vancouver's d also seemed to tighten up when it needed to, particularly during that late penalty to Naslund, followed by that ill-advised clearance by Salo to give them a 5-on-3 with less than three minutes left in the game.

I had the feeling that Luongo consciously raised his game, and refused to allow a SO goal.
Okay, I just made that up, but I'm sure it crossed his mind.
But what a sweet move from Daniel on the SO. I'm not sure that would have worked on a taller goalie, though. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

I am happy about the win but it's the same old crap different day.
2 regulation goals that's it!!! 2PP goals---2 goals---FROM THE DEFENCE--
There are no shootouts in the playoffs |

lets just get those W's back first and foremost.
Coincidence? When Jaffray is in the line up , it may not look pretty but they win.
Nonis said Krajicek "popped his shoulder" ... sounds like a seperation. He gave no time line but 4-6 weeks is the usual time frame. |

Ill toss in my vent/rant too about the lack of finish. Man , these guys cant shoot worth shit. Its either a complete miss ( they counted 20+ last night) or dead smack in the goalie's logo like Burrows likes to aim for. You guys referencd Ritchie's chance... missed the far post by a good foot or two. With that being said , as Casey Printers once said to a coach as he was being cut from the KC Chiefs " you want me to make chicken soup out of chicken *bleep*"
The Canucks D reminds me of the laws of the Sith ( the bad guys in Star Wars) 'they're can only be two , no more , no less'. The Canucks D can only have 4-5 guys healthy , no more no less.. everytime a guy gets in , somebody is out... Krajicek is out , Mitch is almost ready to return... so on and so on... |

Argh, which only cements the likelihood that the back-end will, once more, be Nonis' priority at the deadline. Lukowich for a 2nd rounder, here we come!

Didn't you already established the existence of Mike Weaver's voodoo beyond a reasonable doubt? He may very well play the most games out of any of them. _________________

So far so good... 1-1 after 1.
EDIT: I spoke too soon. 2-1 on a goal by Modano. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.
