Funny you should post this as I was just talking with my counter part who lives in Saskatoon, and was telling me it is -36C right now and -50C with windchill and I was just thinking I wonder how Bruce is feeling?, and then you come up with this post.
Oh and it's 5C and raining right now in Toronto. _________________

Still barely worked in spite of it.
My roommate went to Edmonton with his girlfriend on the weekend and still hasn't made it back. We had a blizzard yesterday, which was in Edmonton on Sunday, and then the ridiculous cold settled in afterwards.
The fact that only one weather station in Antarctica is reporting sub-zero temperatures and I'm stuck with this is really getting to me. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Shit I was in Edmonton last week, and the highs were always about -5C sunny and no wind. God if it had been this week. _________________

This morning on the commute they said it was -35C, but the windchill was equivalent to -54C. |

Oh, and they've just revised the forecast for the next week or so downward.
So much for skiing this weekend. |

Battery died overnight. Finally gave in. Had to spend an hour in the cold attempting to boost it, then get it pushed to a suitable spot (when I went to get it boosted, I had to push it out onto the street).
So there goes $110-$120. I knew I'd have to get a new one soon... but I was hoping. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? Anything that doesn't mention that I masturbate over her memory is probably a good idea."

I'm trying to get a handle on this. It has been said that the US will go to kilometers vs miles and C vs F in temperatures. Unless my weather page lists both - I'm lost.
What I found is: degree C = (degree F-32) / 1.8
So - last week's temps were 18 degrees F - which equalled -7.77 in Canada
I cannot imagine how you all survive these temps. You obviously do. Like Russia...there is no country in the entire world that could invade you. You guys can outlast any invading army- and you are far too stubborn to give in.

Celcius is a hell of a lot easier. 0 is when water freezes, simple as that. None of this 32 nonsense _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

My trips to Fort St. John revealed to me that many Canadians survive -7.7 degrees by going shirtless |
