That was what the Flames served up last night at Rexall. I've been to the last two Battle of Alberta games in Edmonton, and the Flames haven't given a shit in any of the 6 periods of hockey.
Iggy wasn't seeing too much ice time towards the end of the game, or at the very least wasn't noticable out there. Props to Wayne Primeau for actually trying to make some hits and get some energy going. And props to Cory Sarich for his tilt with Curtis Glencross.

Gotta love how Godard goes in and runs Garon, punches Pitkanen in the face, punches Gilbert in the face, and then goes after Garon.
Cujo took a penalty for leaving the crease even though he didn't go anywhere near the scrum. Lame. But not as lame as the Oiler fans who were on Cujo all night long. Nice display of class for the player who did more for your team than anyone else in the 90's. But what else would you expect from the retarded assclowns that populate this city.
And also, an extra special "fuck you" to Ethan Moreau for his flagrant elbow and subsequent mugging of Phaneuf. Dion hadn't even got up from the elbow yet nor had his gloves off and Moreau had already thrown 3 punches. Hope you break your shoulder again, jerkoff. |

No....I think we need more Fancy Nancy Fairies from Montreal. How about that Ryder.....he's make a good addition.
That was the first Flames game this season that I have missed......looks like I didn't miss much. In fact I don't think I have missed a Battle of Alberta in years...............Family time. _________________ "Don't think (Stay)

Here's Moreau elbowing and punking Phaneuf....about the 30-second mark gives a good view of the elbow.

The Oil fans in attendance seemed to think this was a high-quality scrap despite the fact that Moreau fell on his back before Phaneuf even had his gloves off. But I guess when your fight standard is Zach "Huggybear" Stortini you have to take what you can get. |

Well, the Dion has had stuff like this due to come his way for awhile now. What irritates me is that no one had his back. _________________ "Don't think (Stay)

He tried to fight Huggybear earlier in the 1st, but Zachery wanted no part of that. |

Dion strikes me as a conceited twat. Perhaps it's not just me... _________________ The crowd once again showed its IQ level when it shouted ``U-S-A, U-S-A,'' during the fight. Their hero, Downie, is from Newmarket, Ont. |

| And you'd be right. Phaneuf is a very talented player that has some maturing ahead of him. Maybe after the contract has been announced he'll be able to afford decent PR advisors and become as sugar-coated as Crosby. |

I don't think becoming Crosby like is the matter at hand - I think it's a matter of having your team mates truly like you and come to your aid rather than just letting you get yours for a bit for being a prick. _________________ The crowd once again showed its IQ level when it shouted ``U-S-A, U-S-A,'' during the fight. | There is some truth to that. I hope the big contract (just announced) doesn't screw with his head. |
