The Giants should easily cover that 9.5, unless they self destruct
Then again, that's what they do about this time of season every year _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

week 8 early looks
jack@ TBAY -3.5 Im going with the bet against crap QB.. Quinn Gray??? who are you , man?
nyg@ MIA +9.5 nuetral site game in London England... Mia put up 28 pts on the Pats. Both teams will be jet lagged and will grind it out. Ill probably drop this game caz I cant bet on a guy named Cleo.
INdy -6.5@car .. Dave Carr or Vinny, Indy by a TD? Ill take it.
Wash +16.5@ NE .. NE wins but by 17 over a Joe Gibbs team? Redskins will slow the clock and have tons of speed in their secondary. NE wins but 17 is alot of points for a primetime sunday night game. *Edit.. I forgot WS that night so no sunday night game. |
Tough week after so many gimmes last week...
That JAX TB game could be a 6-3 or 9-6 final, just ugly. Not sure if JAX QB or TB RB is worse.
The league will do anything to break NE's momentum. First videogate, now jack up the spread so they don't cover. Every week they're +2TD favorites... |

The NFL doesn't set the point spread, the oddsmakers in Vegas do
they set point spreads high like that to scare bettors away from the favorite
17 is too many points against a very good Washington defense however
I think most bettors will simply lay off that one _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

crap. Trent Edwards (Bills QB). He just came back to the sidelines. No idea what's wrong with gim.
Losman came in and threw a long bomb. Hit the receiver right on the hands but he dropped it. :p
Game is tied. Bills 3 Jets 3
The score is very telling in this game. Neither team can get anything going. _________________ I came here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Heaven forbid, I'm actually rooting for the Bills.
I'll be in Orchard Park next Sunday and I want them going for a .500 record. _________________ Beat my drum down in Mexico! To Tijuana, Tijuana here we go!

also the Saints are suddenly back in their div race .. with Car and Tbay struggling with their injuries , they are definitley right back in this.
Looks like Ill be barfing and crapping my pants caz I think JJ beat me with his crapass squad. |

Man was I wrong .... Giants didn't cover and the Pats covered easily
Brian Griese reverted to form this week, fortunately it didn't cost me _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

Hip , sounds good. I needed a top tier WR.
Aside from that one explosive week from Kevin Curtis , Derrick Mason has actually worked out ok too , considering I thought I traded away a FFL stud. Im happy with my WRs now.
damn Reggie Brown , he has a 100 yd game.. screw him. That was a blip in the radar. |

| Definitely agree with Mason being more consistent. I still like the potentisl for Curtis to go nuts every now and then. Still me being an Eagles homer, hes the only weapon besides Westbrook of course to look forward to. |

early looks: I have zero confidence in my picks or anybody's picks right now ..
Sea -1.5@ Cleve , Seattle is struggling and usually dont travel well in the east... but since is almost pick'um , Im gonig with a Hawks win. Cleve is a poorman's 2004 Colts , and 2005 Bengals.. pure offence and no defence. Seattle.
den@det -2.5 .. Im betting on the LIons again. Just win by a FG you schmucks. Den is a little beat up overall. Detroit.
Wash -3.5 @ nyj ..Jets stink and Washington just got crushed 52-7.. the pissed off bounce back game. Washington.
gby@ KC -1.5 ... GBY is playing well but are due for a road loss and KC is tough at home and just has to win by 2. KC.
Im little pissed caz Seattle is on the same time as NE v INDY. CANT MISS GAME OF THE DECADE. NE v INDY. If I had to pick , how can you not go with NE -5.5 ..they've covered against everybody...but if there's one team to beat them , its Indy which is why Im staying away and just gonna watch as a fan. |

A judge's assessment of Andy Reid's home in the wake of his sons' recent troubles.

This probably has no place in this thread but I'm posting it nonetheless.

What's incredible is Reid has actually had to answer questions as to whether he'll step down as coach in the wake of that judges comments
wtf? His boys are grown adults, and prescription drugs can be found in any household... _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

I changed my picks on a couple
KC -1.5 I still like
SD -7.5
Cleve -1.5 ...Im going Cleve , Sea is alot like the Canucks , something aint right. Plus they're banged up.
on the bubble
Indy +5.5
Phi +3.5
both are rivalry plays and homedogs.
scrapping Wash -3.5 ... Jets stink but losing faith in Wash to cover 3.5
cant wait for tomorrow afternoon. |

Im pumped for THE game. Its just going to be so awesome , I think Harrison is ok to play , he's not a 100% , he'll be a decoy all day. I think all the important players are in today
INdy has the fastest , most agile defence in the NFL , while NE has the most cagy and experienced D in the NFL ...both are bar none have the best Offences ... this is going to be a wicked.
my prediction: NE 35 Indy 28 ... last touchdown wins. |

I've been a Lion fan for too long to be sucked in by some early season success. We were 6 - 2 in 1999 and then they promptly tanked the season and missed the playoffs. No long drafts of Lion Kool-aid for me yet. I am at best, cautiously optimistic, while waiting for the other shoe to drop. _________________ "The greatest victory a man can win is victory over himself."

It's still a really horrible team, less points scored then given up. And in the bottom 1/5 of the league in a lot of prime statistical categories. They will not be making the playoffs as their string of luck will good give out to the lousy fundamentals of their game soon enough. |
