Upset Sunday...

Man, I can't believe the Colts lost to Billy Volek, with LT on the sidelines no less

to top that, the Cowboys poor tackling enables them to take it on the chin from the Giants. TO got teary-eyed when questioned about Romo's vacation
Though it's kind of refreshing (and shocking) to see him sticking up for a teammate, rather than complaining that he didn't get the ball enough
I didn't see the game, but from the news clips I've seen, Romo did not have a good game

Chargers @ Pats; Giants @ Packers

Did anyone seriously expect the Colt AND Cowboys to be out?

Quote:
Oh and the Pats roll... why does the NFC bother... seriously, go golf or something...

I know you're ready to hand this to the Pats, but both of those NFC teams match up well with them
The Giants took them to the wire, and the Packers have finally found a running game in a tough durable back. Then there's the Fav-ra factor
If anyone can dissect the Pats over-rated defense (of the remaining QBs) it's Favre

Oh, don't take that to mean I'm dismissing the Chargers, just addressing Razz's perception of the NFC's irrelevance

I can't believe the Cowboys lost, but the Bolts' confidence against Indy was definitely a factor to consider in the other game. Yeah, with all the injuries in that game, you wonder if it was the wrong move of Indy's to still let their injured players finish (Addai, Sanders), judging by how well the Chargers did by putting confidence in their backups.

Poor Kenton Keith, tipping a 3 yard pass from Peyton and it ending up being a spectacular pick for the Chargers. That cost them the season.

I'm partial to the Chargers, usually because of LT, but that game was one that really makes you cheer for a team. Rivers & LT will play next week, just like Gates played this week.

Eli gets bragging rights in the Manning family for once... but the Packers are going to destroy the Giants at Lambeau.

Heard a funny story , a tv station in Green Bay has pulled all their Seinfeld reruns off air for the week caz its Eli's favourite show and they dont want him comfortable and relaxed. When Strahan was asked his opinion on this he simply replied " they know its on DVD , right?"

hilarious.

Im not playing anything this week.

SD+14.5@NE.. NE pissed off LT last year , I think SDC still remember it so I think they'll put up a fight , plus NE's defence has looked mortal.

NYG+7.5@Gby ... both can make a case for team of destiny. Its supposedly below freezing at Lambeau , dont know if it will snow.

wow, watching Tom Coughlin's face was painful, it looked like it was gonna fall off, what with -23 windchill
Tynes misses 2 FGs in a row, including the potential game winner at the end of regulation, but Coughlin sends him out for a 47 yarder in OT anyways

Why does Fox put their anal-ysis booth outside? Are they trying to convince us that the anchors aren't running for cover indoors as soon as kickoff occurs?
Listening to Plaxico Burress after the game, he couldn't even form words
I think his jaw was frozen shut

Brady threw the ball terrible in the AFC champ, but played well otherwise
(if that's possible)
I can't believe the CBS crew calling for Billy Volek after 2 quarters
Rivers (not a fan) was throwing lasers, looked much better than Brady
throwing the ball
can't fault him for the first pick, though he shouldn't have thrown it;
his receiver had position but allowed Samuel to beat him to the ball
the second one was a bad throw, but didn't cost them
Maroney and the offensive line of New England stepped it up big time in the 2nd half, that and the Pats goal line defense was the story

Somewhat disappointed Fav-Ra didn't make it to the Super Bowl
I'm thinkin he's retiring, (along with Bruschi, Seau, and Harrison)
on the other hand, if Favre made it, the entire world would be on his side

If the Chargers had the 3 main components of their red zone offence healthy that might've been a tighter finish. No LT, a gimpy Gates and a gimpy Rivers left very little options for a shorter field for them.

The NYG-Packers game was phenomenal from a entertainment POV. I had no money , no alliances with either team and I was on teh edge of my seat. Big plays , big drama throughout the game. Everytime I think the play of the game or turning point happens , somethign bigger happens next.. great game.

The Pats game was pretty good too , if SDC could've score in their red zone appearances , it could've been even more intense. Not bad but too bad SDC's studs were all banged up , hate to use excuses.

I was hoping for a Favre v Brady finals but oh well... NYG seem to be the NFC team of destiny , Tiki Barber must feel like an assclown now!lol from a NYG point of view , he should.

He was going to see Gisselle, so snow job probably isn't the correct choice of words Laughing
if you watched Sunday's game, it didn't look like he was using his legs to throw, and he was throwing very poorly.
He naturally downplayed it, and I doubt by the time Super Sunday rolls around it will even be an issue

that's good news, after nothing but doom and gloom
i've actually been thinking the Giants are gonna win
first Mayor Menino jinxes shit (not to mention offers bulletin board fodder) by releasing his victory parade schedule in the Globe. Granted, every city plans these things ahead of time, but they usually don't publish it before the game.
Philly's parade route proved to be excellent bulletin fodder for the Pats
As did the Steelers flight arrangements to the Super Bowl, pre-AFC championship, and ditto the Colts

Then, the Globe's " 19-0, Unbeatable Pats" book goes on sale on Amazon
A Pat's spokeperson said, "that must be a typo, We're 18-0"
Naturally, the Herald took the offensive to report " Globe jinxes Pats "

Suddenly, it's the New England media in a state of overconfidence
Luckily, it's not the team, but still
Did they forget how close that last game vs. the Giants was?

Im predicting NE 34 NYG 17
MVP: Brady is too obvious , Im going to go Samuel with 3 INTS and a TD.

Im not picking the spreads on this , Ill be playing Props but I havent seen the lines yet. No idea what the props are. Hopefully there will be some parlay sheets. Its the one day of the year I have to goto to a bookie to play , its the only way to get Prop bets in Vancouver.

I hope you're right Laughing

I've had a bad feeling for the last 2 weeks about this game
The Pats need to score early and take the Giants out of just pounding them with Jacobs.
Their secondary must do a better job than it's done lately

If the Pats win, I see Kevin Faulk as potentially being a major contributor

No football fan, so I can't figure out if this game is tight defensively - or just sloppy offensively.

Either/or - good to see a close game. Go Giants! I hear their pig-thrower is pretty good too.
