Check this out; from Men's Health:
Beer
Drink This:
Guinness Draught
125 calories
10 g carbohydrates
Not That!
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
175 calories
15 g carbohydrates
Save 50 calories a beer!
Surprised? Most people think of Guinness as a beer milkshake: dark, thick, and rich enough to inspire guilt at first sip. But switch out a six-pack a week and you've just saved yourself more than four pounds this year. Extend those savings even further with Beck's Premier Light: At 64 calories a bottle, it doesn't get any lighter than this.

The only thing lighter is Tetley's, but at 3.6% alcohol, it sure doesn't have much punch. _________________ The crowd once again showed its IQ level when it shouted ``U-S-A, U-S-A,'' during the fight. Their hero, Downie, is from Newmarket, Ont. |

Blender+fruit=way more fun than junk food.
I had some Doritos and some other chips recently, and found that I like them a lot less than I used to... _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Yes! I just pounded down one of my smoothies a couple hours ago. Lot of fiber, calcium & protein!
1 & 1/2 cups of blackberries, blueberries, raspberries & strawberries
1 to 1 1/2 cup of Stonyfield fat-free organic French Vanilla yogurt
About 3 ice cubes
Scoope of vanilla whey protein powder

Funny you'd bring that up. Got the bright idea tonight that I would cut my Fish oil pill open and just add the oil to my Whey shake after I work out and I gotta warn you people the fish oil taste exactly like it sounds like it would taste and a little goes a long way. _________________ It's not you Sundin, it's me...please just leave...and don't look back....please please do not look back. |

The vanilla yogurt is awesome in a smoothie! I was trying to figure out a way to make mango ones sweeter, and vanilla yogurt was better than plain sugar. Though ice tea powder was really good with mango and berries Banana's a good natural sweetener.
Butchy do they sell 5 pound bags of those frozen berries where you are too? _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

I should try Costco, as I can only get the small bags ... I typically buy:
I should try some mangos, pineapples, etc. again too to mix it up a bit .... I tried apple smoothies last Summer in where I essentially just sliced up a whole apple & dropped it in, but I wasn't too crazy about that. Have also tried fresh kiwis, but the frozen berries are a lot more convenient.
Oh & fish oil!? Thanks for the advice! I'll make sure I stick with consuming mine in capsule form!

This smoothie thing seems like a bother, you guys breaking out a blender all the time? I just eat the fruit and do the Whey in a shaker cup with skim milk and IMO it taste good on it's own. _________________ It's not you Sundin, it's me...please just leave...and don't look back....please please do not look back. |

Which powder are you using? |
It's my wife who buys it for us at GNC.
It's call EAS.
I don't know if that's a good brand or not.
What brand do you use Hounsy? _________________

I'm with you bro ... I put down a 6 pack of Miller Lite, 2 Long Trail IPA's & just ate 3 of my "Big Kahuna" burgers. I chased it with a dark chocolate bar I had kickin' in the fridge & am about to cap it off with a Guiness before I go to bed.

Well while doing pull ups yesterday something went ouch! around my butt hole.
I really though getting in shape was a good idea, not so sure now as I squirm around all day in my office chair. _________________ It's not you Sundin, it's me...please just leave...and don't look back....please please do not look back. |
