I'll admit it may have been a cross-check, I never saw a replay of the play. I was merely saying that a "hit from behind" doesn't apply in open ice. If he cross-checked him, well, yeah, then it's a penalty. But plenty of minor penalties get missed in the game, seems dumb to get hung up on one...

unless, you know, it's a hi-stick to your captain in the playoffs that leaves him near blind, right? Laughing

Fair enough. More concerned with Carbo opining that in a perfect world the league would ban fighting. Right, so Lapierre and Begin can run around hacking people without sanction. Fuck I hate Guy Carbonneau...
