Shocked

Way to go Jeff!

Shit - I should have checked the first page before cheering on Jeff! So, way to go - DH, and Stinky and Harmy and Sask and Cannots!

Laughing

Maybe I got that one, but none of my other sweeps came true Laughing

I think 6-2 is the best anyone did this time around. I was one of those (wrong on the Flyers and Stars, both of whom I had losing in 7).

Kudos to Holger for being the only one to pick Dallas over Anaheim. Which suggests that series was a legitimate upset, I suppose, despite being a 4/5 matchup.

Guess we'll re-start this tomorrow.

I got 3 series 100% correct (Pens in 4, Avs in 6, Sharks in 7). I said the Caps would win Game 7, so I was incredibly close on that one, especially since if you ask me that 2nd Flyers goal was the worst missed call of the post-season.

Anyways, guessing the correct length are bonus points, the tiebreaker if you will.

Anyways... Round 2... I'm traditionally terrible at picking the second round. Mad

Habs in 5
Rags in 7

Wings in 6
Stars in 6

5/8 with the winners, only one sweep.

Next up in the tool pool:

Pitts in 4 over the Rags.

Mon in 4 over Philly

Det in 4 over Dive

No idea who in Dal vs SJ. I'll say Dal in 4.

I agree with the Bosc about the teams that will advance, just not about all of them being sweeps...

I also agree...so therefore I am going all opposite as my official predictions.

Philly, NYR, Avs, Dal all move on!

George constanza picks it is

I got 2 right in each conference, and none of the series length right Laughing

Habs in 7 (They may be completely beat up after this series, but their PP should get them over the hump)
Pens in 7
Wings in 6
Sharks in 6

Pffft... http://sports.aol.com/nhl/story/_a/crystal-ball-for-stanley-cup-playoffs/20080407150109990001

8 for 8 in the first round. Evil or Very Mad

It says Wings, Sharts, Habs and Pens advance in the next round, and a Canadiens/Sharts final.

6-for-8 in the first round, only the Flyboys and Stars made me look silly.

Habs in 5, Pens in 7
Wings in 6, Sharks in 6

Our local paper predictions are being lead by a Seal from Marineland who got six or seven right. I'd laugh but it kicked my ass as well.

I went 5/8 in round one.

This time, let's say:

Montreal over Philadelphia in 7
Pittsburgh over NY Rangers in 6

Detroit over Colorado in 6
San Jose over Dallas in 7

But I feel very uncertain on the West, and am going against my primordial fears in betting against Colorado and for San Jose.
