http://bostonherald.com/news/opinion/columnists/view.bg?articleid=1087970

Quote:
“He (Masse) was wearing glasses,” Contant recalled yesterday. “And he had a red Canadiens shirt on. When he approached them, they began yelling things like, ‘Go home, you French (expletive)’ - things like that. I heard (Masse) laugh and say, ‘We don’t want to fight . . . we don’t want any trouble,’ as he tried to pass. Then someone punched him once, maybe twice, in the face. He went down and his eyeglasses came off.

“That is when I see this other man in the Bruins shirt walk up and kick him in the head, while the man was still laying in the street,” Contant said. “And then he kicked him again in the face. That’s when I ran to him, because I thought they would kill him. When I got to him, I thought he was dead. That is when I screamed, ‘Look what you’ve done!’ ”

Welcome to Boston, city of champions.

The witness goes on to bemoan it, and the rest of the article talks about how Bruin fans generally aren't like that. But way to take things out of context.

In any event, while I have some sympathy for the guy that got stomped, I certainly agree with the message that we don't want fucking Hab fans in Boston...

How the fuck is that taking it out of context?!?!?!

Bull-fucking-shit Razz.

Suck it up buttercup, the Bruin's nation fans that you uphold as noble and honorable stomped an innocent person. Now we know that they're all cowardly, pathetic little suck-bag fucks. Every last one of them.

You Bruins fans should hold a convention with Pittsburgh Pirates fans and hang out with your lame-ass jerseys whacking each other off.

And isn't that last statement as insensitive as proclaiming after a lynching, "well that all was some real unpleasantness, but hey, let's all agree that we don't need no niggers 'round here!"[/b]

As a Leaf fan born after 1967 I demand reparations from the rest of the league for my suffering at their hands.

And this was something you determined the last time you were in Boston, right? Because you're there so often you have a real feel for the city? Laughing

Tuzer is right, the guys that did the stomping need some counselling.

As for me being a dumb cunt because I commented that we don't want Hab fans in Boston... still trying to work through the logic in the allegation.

Chuck, isn't your team out of the playoffs? Crawl back into your hole...

There are moron fans in every city, and Boston is no exception
One of the witnesses in that story was a Boston resident, so it's not like everyone in Boston was supporting the assailant.
The article doesn't mention that there were like 300 fights in the Garden during that game, after the game, before the game....
Causeway street bars were turning away patrons in Canadien's garb after the game...and I don't blame them. they didn't want' their bars torn up

Aaron Ward was on WBCN earlier this week, talking about moron fans
Apparently, a horde of Montreal fans attacked the Bruins bus after game 2
The driver couldn't drive away, and the fans jumped up pounding on the windows with fists, sticks. rocks, whatever....he said they were hoping the fans would be stupid enough to force their way onto the bus Twisted Evil

Coming to the rink for Game 3, they almost couldn't get through
Again, a contingent of Canadien's fans was blocking the road, running around, singing and waving Canadian flags...

He said the players looked at each other and said
"Oh no, a Canadian flag...we're finished, we might as well go home"

Forget where I saw it, but the story is that Neely came off the bus and told the Hab fans he'd stick their flags up their asses if they didn't move lol...

This is just it - Hab fans really are over the top. You come to our city, you go on and on with your gay ass songs and your flag waving, boo our captain in our building.... and then you wonder why we hate you?

Look, I'm not advocating violence on the part of fans. But if I ever go to a Bruin game in Montreal, I'm gonna sit there, cheer respectully, and leave. Is that too much to ask on the part of Montreal fans?

I'll ignore the fact that you just said "our city" Laughing

And wait a minute...Neely rides the bus?

The guy(s) who beat on the Habs fan should be in jail, if that account is true

But you are right about attending road games...I was talking to my friend tonight after the game ( at the bar) about the possibility of going to Montreal for game 7....obviously, we'd never be able to get tickets (we couldn't get them here)
I was seeing a Canadien's fan when Neely still played for the Bruins
She actually wore a Roy shirt to the Boston Garden
I laughed when I saw it, because I knew what she was up to
She was hoping to elicit a lot of hostile remarks, so she could say
"See what assholes Boston fans are?"
My friends were like "Are you fucking insane?" and tried to get her to put her jacket back on...they were more worried about her, and didn't want to get in a fight over it...I wasn't worried, we weren't playing the Canadiens.
She droned on and on about how Neely sucked, and Bourque was the most overrated player in the history of the NHL, and how Boupre must be throwing the game, blah blah blah
No one gave her any shit over her shirt, until we were leaving the rink
Someone from about two stairways back yelled "Roy swallows!"
She looked at me with a smug look, like "See?"
I said "What would happen to me if I wore a Terry O'Reilly jersey to the Montreal Forum? Yeah, that's what I thought..."

For the record, Neely had a hat trick, and the Bruins won big
Cool

Your opinion is duly noted. The context is obvious to most, but to you, this, like many other things, escapes you. Not my concern.

One thing that doesn't escape me is the fact that you are a massive fucktard.
