This one is classic. Even more so with Forsberg, Foote and Sakic. I think the Avs take this. _________________ -UP THE IRONS! |

I'll have to play devil's advocate here. I like the Avs and I think they bow to the Sharks next round. Wings are good but I think they will face a rebuilding team with more heart. _________________ -UP THE IRONS! |

Wait a second... Wings, Avs, Stars and Sharks.... what year is this anyways?
Anyways, gotta like Detroit. Having that 1-2 punch of Yzerman and Fedorov to go with heart and soul types like Lapointe and Kocur, and all those Russians on the back end. The big question is in net... Osgood or Vernon?
The Avs have Sakic and Forsberg, yes, and Foote is great, but I haven't heard much about Roy this year. Surprising really, that asshole can't shut up usually. _________________ It's backwards time. |

Definitely not for Detroit
I like the Wings. Yup.
3 shutouts in 4 meetings this year. Yes, that was against a Colorado squad that was missing a bunch of it's offense, but I still like the Wings in this series. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

WAY more offensive weapons to worry about in this series, a better power play, and yes, even with our trade deadline acquisitions firing on all cylinders we're still overmatched. Zetterberg and Datsyuk will be far more difficult to contain than Gaborik.
Again, if it happens, it'll be because Theo worked at least a couple miracle games. |

Who's going to be on the left wing waiting for outlet passes from the D for Colorado? Please tell me Forsberg _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

If this series is anything like the classics of last decade, I hope every game is on TV ....please _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

Now we know why Floppa falls down so much. He's a lazy bastard.

Lines from practice today
| Quote: |
Early update as the Red Wings get ready for this morning's skate ... Defenseman Brad Stuart isn't on the ice. Whether tha means that he's not playing tonight or that he's en route and will be available, we'll find out after practice.
The Wings are working out of the same lines they used in Game 6 of the Nashville series.
Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom
Franzen-Filppula-Samuelsson
Hudler-Draper-Cleary
Drake-Helm-McCarty
Lidstrom-Rafalski
Kronwall-Lilja
Lebda-Chelios
Osgood (starts)
Hasek
Hartigan (healthy scratch)
Downey (healthy scratch)
Maltby (healthy scratch)
Meech (healthy scratch)
Ericsson (healthy scratch) |
May or may not be watching this depending on how my gf's dad is feeling and if we're cooking dinner for her family.
I'm thinking that good things are going to come from that 4th line _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Amazing how little respect the team with the best record in hockey is getting

If I had to guess, I would say that it'd be mostly Canadian media (who have never dropped their fascination with Colorado) picking the Avs, and American media picking the Wings. Not scientific, but I know journalists tend to "predict" what they want. _________________

I think the talking mullet Barry Melrose took the Avs too. But I think he picks the Avs to win the Cup when they aren't even in the playoffs. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

More importantly, so did EA Sports, whose simulations were near perfect in Round 1 (didn't get all the game lengths right, but got the teams). _________________ It's backwards time. |

You are correct, sir...I was in fact referring to Barry as a "so called" expert _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |
