Montreal has had an outstanding season and, if they lose to Philly, will have lost to a team that was all of 9 points behind them in the standings (statistically not very significant) and also had a remarkable turnaround year. Nobody "sucks" in this scenario...

Sorry if I have to disagree here.

Of course the Habs didn't "suck" at all but the Flyers series was very disappointing.

And I don`t care if the Habs were in first place. Playoff hockey is all about toughness, physically and mentally, and for the first time I give Cherry some credit: "Put a damn player in front of the net". Yes, Don, you're damn right.

Anyway, Price will get better, our young guns, too. Maybe we'll get some good replacements for our departing UFAs.

Congrats to the Flyers.

Congrats flyers. Here's hoping you get wiped out by the Pens.

Well that bites.

On one hand, the Habs definitely exceeded expectations and still made the second round, so Habs brass ultimately should be pleased with how the season turned out.

On the other hand, it feels like an opportunity wasted.

The Bruins, Habs and Flyers all proved prognosticators wrong by making the playoffs and better days should be coming in the future.

I also propose we call Umberger the "Hamburglar" because he stole the series with his clutch scoring.

This nails it on the head:

Wasted opportunity!

But if we let go our UFAs and resign our RFAs plus some good additions, the Habs will be better next year.
