Forgive me for not dancing in the streets over a marginal swede.
Putting Kessel on the bubble is assinine. _________________ "Don't think (Stay)

Not if you can get back a stud 1-2 D man to go with Chara...
And no, NOT another Dennis Wideman...

Kessel is NOT on the bubble
and, unfortunately, Murray is not going to the AHL
It's true Kessel is in his last year, but that doesn't put him on the bubble
they can let him play the whole season and still not lose him
his numbers won't command an unreasonable contract
I just wonder what the hell they're going to do with Fernandez
I'd rather see them keep Auld, but Manny's contract may prevent that _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

Rask will push for a job next year, so they might as well just let Auld go and come back with Fernandez backing up Thomas until Manny inevitably gets hurt again and Rask makes his debut. _________________ It's backwards time. |

I don't understand the fan reaction on Kessel nor the Sport writers placing him as "on the bubble." If the B's trade him or fail to offer him his worth I am getting off this wagon. _________________ "Don't think (Stay)

What is the "fan reaction"?
Kessel is one of their most exciting players, whatever his stats are
I think the majority of the fan base in Boston knows this
He was by far one of the best players in the playoffs this year
This writer is just min-maxing the numbers _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

I'd rather they buy out Manny and keep Auld, saving a million or so in the process... how Manny could be any good this old and two years removed from much playing is beyond me... |

Well, the problem with that razz is that a Manny buyout affects you for two years, not just one. I think that since Rask is pretty much ready for NHL action, having him as your plan B should be enough of a cushion to risk having Fernandez. Fernandez at his best is better than Auld at his best, it's just whether that will happen or not. One year of an iffy backup isn't bad if Thomas holds his own as a starter again, anyways. And, if Manny is clearly not ready, well, Rask should be. _________________ It's backwards time. |

But that's 4 million in cap space on a backup, fuck that |

well I hope that's the response. My fear is that management jettisons this guy ala Boyes before he matures. Kessel is a keeper and for any news outlet to suggest otherwise is downright stupid. _________________ "Don't think (Stay)
