Man, they keep shitting on him. Apparently that's what they started telling the media in Russia. Wow.
Markov has a banged up shoulder and knee but will still play for Russia. Patriotism is admirable, but come on Andrei... you left a lot in the tank here (though the last game was your best).
Koivu's playing for Finland, and Team Belarus got a massive upgrade with the Kostitsyns and Grabovski deciding to continue being teammates.
Both Alex and Saku stated their desire as of right now is to re-sign with the Habs, possibly ending their careers here. If you ask me, they're fully welcome to do so. They are "vrai Canadiens" as the saying goes.
Tomorrow the Gainey post-mortem will come. I'm sure there are a few insights there that won't have been proclaimed in this forum, but nothing revolutionary. _________________ It's backwards time. |
