Well, there's a few openings to be had in the NHL this summer:

Atlanta: General Manager, Head Coach
Colorado: Head Coach
Florida: Head Coach
Ottawa: Head Coach
San Jose: Head Coach
Toronto: General Manager, Head Coach

How Marc Crawford survived this season is beyond me, but at this point he looks to be in the clear. There have also been no changes yet in Tampa Bay as the ownership is still not fully turned over yet, but you have to think changes are coming there as a result. I don't know if Jackson/Hull want to change Dallas' philsophy after this loss or not... they're a good team, but not an entertaining one and that might be an issue they want to address.

Alain Vaigneault appears to be set to return to Vancouver under a new GM, but as everyone knows, that's a situation to watch. Laviolette is on thin ice as well.

That should about cover it. In short, we'll see some faces next year we haven't seen before, and likely a couple we haven't seen in some time in the NHL.

For the Leafs I fear a group think Nonis + Gilmour/Domi dream team for GM. Or some similiar gong show idea of retreads plus a fan favourite.

Question of the day:

Will the NHL recycle coaches like the NFL or MLB?
