I recently had a Camry Hybrid for a week and I was fascinated with scoring Excellent on the driving meter! I am not sure if it was me being part of the Video game generation but I didn't care who was tailgating me or how slow I was going....only how I was going to raise my Tank Average.
I see I am not alone.

Maybe it is due to being from the video game generation ...  I have a MPG indicator on the Fusion in which I reset w- every fill-up & will sometimes drive very conservatively (almost like an ass) to see how good I can keep the MPG's ..... I'll get about 30 MPG when I'm tooling along at around 35 - 40 MPH w- the cruise on & flat'ish ground .... Kiss that good bye though w- stop & go traffic. I usually end up around 22 MPG overall.

Yeah my sweet Cobalt has one.
I can get about 30MPG with my daily driving, if I keep it at 70MPH on the interstate I get a little better mileage. |

Yup! The sporty '09 Corolla was getting up to 35 MPG w- highway driving ...if not higher. I'm not so sure I buy that, but that's what it said though on the indicator. That's real impressive.
Beware, this car does not handle well going 85 MPH in gusty wind situations!

My old '89 LeBaron had one. Consistently got 23.5 in the city and 34 on the highway. What amazed me the most was the Distance Till Empty estimator. Twice, I made it the gas station with 1km to spare. Once, it hit 0 and sure enough, i had to roll to the pump. Awesome.
