Darcy Hordichuk's rights net a 5th rounder, but Vinny Prospal's net a 7th?
Oh yeah, the guy they traded Jack Johnson for is signed for 4 years at $2.75m a year.

Will Tampa receive anything for losing Prospal? If they don't, then it makes more sense. Also makes sense if they expect the 5th in '10 to be better than '09.

There's no possible way you can gauge whether a 5th rounder will be more valuable in one year as opposed to another.... particularily since neither of the years are current years.

Guess they're taking their chances in expecting the pick from which the team orginated to be a higher pick than the one that they gave up...or they resign Hordichuk
