How very, very sad. I heard about this at work. A wonderful, audaciuos and cuttingly accurate sense of humour. You "Young Things" cannot even imagine how he absolutely blew out social conventions in his time. I remember very well. He was our Hero.
His piece on "aging" is classic.

My parents had a really cool album collection when my brother and I were growing up.
We used to sneak the headphones on and listen to George Carlin's "Class Clown" (which included the 7 words you can never say on television). That whole album was genius. Of course at 7 years old, all of those swear words would put my brother and I on the floor in hysterical giggles.
It's a sad day. |
