4 years, $3.75m per, just coming through the wire. Limited NTC (as in, likely, to California). _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? Anything that doesn't mention that I masturbate over her memory is probably a good idea."

Dude played well as our #4 defenseman with Kronwall. Can eat up PK time, physical. That's not a bad price by any stretch of the imagination, and about the going rate for a #3/4 defenseman.
So Kenny wasn't kidding about going into camp with 10 defensemen. Lids, Rafalski, Kronwall, Stuart, Lebda, Lilja, Meech, Quincey, Chelios if he gets signed, and Ericsson(unless they keep him in the A playing 30 minutes a game). Depth ees good. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Yeah,See the thing is,Your team is so good defensively that you could of signed Joe blow out of the minors and made him look good too.Brad Stuart is an overpaid second rate Dman at best ,But hey,On your team it won't make a difference. |

No, he's now an underpaid second-rate Dman according to the market for second-rate defensemen.
We've seen what can happen when you lose a couple of D in the playoffs when losing Schneider and Kronwall cost us that series against Anaheim. Detroit doesn't want to take that risk. They need D like Lilja, Stuart and Chelios to eat up PK minutes so we don't have Lidstrom, Kronwall and Rafalski playing those tough minutes and wearing down, or kids with very little NHL experience thrust into tough roles. Detroit just doesn't do things that way. Depth is never a bad thing to have. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!
