I think I'm going to have to double my $ projections for defensemen. Hainsey might get $7 a year at this rate.
We get Brad Stuart for 3.75, Finger goes for 3.5. Kenny is a genius, JFJ is still in charge, or I'm seriously missing something here.

Finger was better than Liles by a long shot last year, for what it's worth. And Stuart sucked balls until he got the cushy job of being Kronwall's partner.

dude....its Jeff Finger...he was on the fringe of minor league hell until multiple injuries got him a regular spot. He probably would have been happy to eat a turd for 2 million.......probably blew the biggest load of his life when the 3.5 offer came.
Don't get me wrong Jeff played really well last year. And I had no doubt he had potential to be a 5 or 6 guy but that in reality is f'n ridiculous.

Anders Eriksson and Janne Niiiinnnniimaaaaaa being a #9 or #10 defenseman making 2-3 a year really set the bar for these guys

It's a sad day Blueneck! If they were 1 year deals, sure .. I could handle that. Leafs need only bodies right now to fill the vacant roster positions.
I hardly think however that a Hagman is much of a notch above a Wellwood ... beergut or not. But whatever; ain't my money & they won't ever see a dime of it either.
