I couldn't believe they accepted it, but then I got to thinking.
I traded Andrew Cogliano, Cory Murphy and Gonchar for Dany Heatley, Paul Mara, and Barret Jackman. Murphy and Gonchar are putting up good numbers for D players. I am wondering if missing them will be more costly than gaining Heatley though? I'm pretty deep at forward. I have to think the addition of Heatley gives me the best forward depth of all 14 teams.
There isn't much defensively in the FA pool. I did pick up Mark Streit and picked up Shea Weber to stickin an IR spot. _________________

| I think you won that one Chuck...depending on who the rest of your D-men are. Heatley is a points machine. Cogliano is a gamble at this point and with the Oilers floundering after their great start I wouldn't bank on him. |

Other D is now: McCabe, Kuba, Phaneuf, Streit, and Weber on IR.
At forward I now have: Joe Thornton, Kovalchuk, Karia, Tkachuk Heatley, Bertuzzi on IR, Tlusty, Patrick Sharp, Phil Kessel, JP Dumont and Jere Lehtinen
Budaj, LaBarbera, and Fleury in goal.
Obviously some of my forwards are expandable especially Tlusty just thought I'd take a chance on him. I need a good PIM guy. Thats one reason I was thinking of getting that kid from Phx Carcillo. He seems to score and take penalties. +/- doesn't ever seem to be good at the end of the week also. _________________

You definitley won that deal. It's best to have points consolidated into one player & Heatley is good for 100 (barring injury of course). He will also have a better +/- than Gonchar.
The kid on Edmonton will be good, but I wouldn't expect anything more than 50 pts from him this year.

If that trade happened in one of my leagues I'd protest it.
So yeah take it and run. _________________ Lang may yer lum reek! |

I love when guys think adding multiple players to the deal that are weaker than some waiver pickups is value. _________________ Lang may yer lum reek! |

Here's the most recent, despite my rejecting of the last one & remarking that I'm already carrying 3 goalies in this H2H league in where only 1 goalie starts:
Saku Koivu
Andy McDonald
Chris Phillips
Miikka Kiprusoff
FOR
Joe Thornton
Thomas Vanek
Scott Niedermayer

YEah I got some crazy idea offer for a package with Kipper.
He was told by Necks what we where offering in packages for Kipper and Datsyuk and now that he has Kipper he's trying to get similar packages to what we original had out there but is replacing Datsyuk with a bunch of mid-tier to waiver level players. _________________ Lang may yer lum reek! |

| I know I will probably regret that trade. Fing Vokuun was pulled last night after letting 2 of the first 5 shots he faced in vs. the Sens. Dat-suck is now hell bent at making me look like a retard for the trade alone. On the bright side at least Horcoff is still scoring and Nash netted 2 last night in that crazy come back. I'm pissed I turned that game off when it was 3-1 Avs. Murray has been on a tear for me-not bad for a waiver while hes got the hot hand. Irefuse to start Vesa because when I do he will get shelled again. The only hope we have for a win streak is me keeping him benched! |
