What aspect are you referring to? Once the 5-day moratoriums wear off, it should be basically the same, except for cosmetically. (Which we can always tweak). _________________

I need a no opinion choice. As long as every one that wants to migrate knows and can I don't care either way where OTP's home is or how it looks.

I do too, but unfortunately it comes with the misleading "Icicle" logo at the top which can't be changed. If I can just figure out what all the parameters are for this skin (they're not listed, I just choose a template) I will try to plug them into one of the ones which seems variable, and we'll get back some semblance of an OTP identity.

Likewise... One never really appreciates how much thought went into what Cali actually did behind the scenes until you do this kind of thing. I'm still having grief with posting at work, but that's not such a bad thing. Of course, the Avatar Skunkworks is now closed for business, what with royalties from :butch: and :chris18: no longer in the offing... I think Jyrki and Av have done a marvellous job of keeping everything - and therefore everyone - together during the transition, and in the end, that's really what Cali's vision was all about. Thanks again, you two, for doing this. So what's the fallback if this site shits the bed? HF? _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

Why is that, just out of wonder?

Most things are substantially the same... there's definitely less functionality with this format (no centering of text, the BBCode links annoyingly go to the end of your message, etc.), but most of the other changes are just cosmetic.

Every time I've written one of my Silver Bullet induced multi-paragraph posts, the site hangs for an eternity. Last night a long one made it through after about a 10 minute wait ( I stubbornly just went and watched TV while I waited, though I fully expected to see that familiar "there was an error" message) Sunday night I tried to start a topic and was greeted with " you must wait until you've made 5 posts before altering your profile" Then I started getting it for just trying to reply to existing topics, so I gave up uh oh, two paragraphs....hope this one makes it through _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts
