Haven't seen him at all this 2nd period. He did alright in the first but now the penalties have kicked in and he's nowhere to be seen. Probably on the ice this shift, I'd think.

Well, he got a shift, but didn't get the puck. Confused

Thanks a bunch Breezer. I have some choice words for this team, but it will wait until after the game.

Ryder gets that one back on the PP on a jam play.

That Heatley goal was all Brisebois. Fuckin' Patrice.

Well,

This is the first game where I've really been able to observe this team closely and I don't like it.

Across the board, this team was pretty damn lazy. Plekanec, Higgins and Kostopolous, supposedly our better defensive players, all had terrible giveaways that resulted in 2 goals for Ottawa and another scoring chance.

No sustained offence in the Ottawa zone, and vice-versa. Most chances from both ends came from giveaways, which doesn't bode well for anyone. The goalies can't really be faulted on any of the plays.

Koivu has been getting better opposing matchups, and it has resulted in more chances for him. He and Kovalev have looked better, largely because more pressure has been placed on Pleks and Higgins.

Grabovsky and Kostitsyn came alive in the third - them and Smo made a solid combination near the end of the game. Actually I thought the lines in the last ten minutes were effective.

Dandy is useless as a half-forward/half-d. Put him on D permanently or send him packing. I still think he's useful - moreso than Breezer or the post-injury Bouillon. Man, Frankie has been a totally different player since the contract.

Not sure what to make of Ryder. One shift he's doing whatever it takes to reach the net, other times he's a ghost.

Streit is good. Makes crisp passes and is rarely out of place.

Markov and Komisarek seem a bit off. I think they're trying to hard to kick start the offence and its coming at the expense of staying back and keeping opposing players from the net.

This team needs more speed and size on the D. Heatley spent the entire game slipping through the D. How many times did he have a chance or Price had to cover up the puck because Heatley was nearby?

I am convinced we are more talented than last year, but right now we're making mental mistakes in both zones. We just don't seem all that prepared during the first periods of games.

By the looks of it, the Sens didn't play a very solid game either. Well atleast on the defensive side of things. Redden was caught napping on the second goal by Ryder. what was he thinking? First he got deked and on top of that, he let Ryder get a few more whacks at the puck, he should have taken him out of the play. As for the goaltending of Gerber, he was alright. The first goal was a softy, but he made up for it by making some key stops when the Habs were really bringing it to him. He'll have to time to rest as Emery is most likely going to get the nod in goal against the Panthers tommorrow night. 7-1....thats an awesome record to have coming into the 3rd week of the season. Now the only thing to look for is, to see if the Sens will lay back and think that no one can stop them, or if they'll keep there foot on the accelerator and keep bringing it...only time will tell. Go Sens Go! Smile

There was some definite sloppiness in the play and the officiating in this one. Very uneven preformances all around it seemed.

Richardson shouldn't be playing anymore, though. Schubert's definitely better than him and Luke's skating is barely better than mine.

Foligno's a keeper, though.
