Anyone have any consoles? I have a Nintendo Gamecube, but sadly since the Wii has come out. They've stopped making games for it. I have a lot of games for it, NHL 2005, NHL 06, Madden 2005, Madden 07 and 08, Zelda Windwaker, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, WWE Day of Reckoning 1 and 2.

Xbox 360
Nintendo Gamecube (given to my sons by their older cousins)
Playstation2

EDIT: Oh, and a DS that replaced a Gameboy that finally melted two weeks ago.

360
PS3
Wii (two weeks out of the month)
PSP
DS
1.5 year old PC that's going to explode when I install Crysis. I have Quake Wars ready to install this weekend and I'm a little scared.

Annnnnnnndddddd, I still have my beloved, fully functional Dreamcast. Any up for some Street Fighter Alpha 3? Soul Calibur? Power Stone 2? Rival Schools? Sega Marine Fishing? I have a fishing controller.

My Xbox reg and PS2 are for sale. My PS2 is in pretty shitty shape so I'm not keen on selling it if you aren't nearby. The Xbox is in great shape, despite the PBR stains on the top. The Xbox and 10 games of your choice (from about 50) can be yours for under 100, if I like you.

EL I've got an Xbox with the dreaded Thompson drive. I'd be interested in taking yours off your hands if you don't mind. I'll send you a PM.

2 PS2s
WII
DS
Nin 64
Xbox...on the fritz

Been putting off getting the PS3 until I upgrade to a high def TV.

Unfortunately I am done dealing with the first gen consoles. I had nothing but problems with both my PS2s and my Xbox. From now on I wait until they iron out the bugs.....its too much money for me to spend on a piece of plastic.

All PC for me. The last system I had was a Genesis. PC could probably use a RAM and Vid card upgrade, but it still handles pretty sweet.

So I go to ship my 360 back to Microsoft to be fixed, and another guy walks up to the door with me. He's carrying a VERY similar box. "360? 360.". We both roll our eyes.

Apparently they've given up using air mail, and now ship their stuff ground, because of the frequency of the breakdowns. So, what was supposed to come to me in 2 days came in 12.

Assholes...

My PS2 was played throughout my seven years of post secondary as any post secondary student / slacker would play it - OFTEN. Still runs like a charm. Why I didn't go PS3 is beyond me...

Metroid Prime is pretty good. So is Zelda.....unfortunately these games aren't up my alley. As I am predominately an RPG/Sports guy.

I'd much rather prefer to grab my beer and play WII sports bowling.

GH3 will also be available for the WII but I have informed my son that we will not be purchasing additional periphreals for the Wii when we have the PS2 controllers.

Well, I had a PS2 and still do... But all it does is gather dust. I was thinking of unhooking it from the big screen and install it on the minivan for those long road trips. The resoultion quality blows on a 92" but would be plenty on an 8" screen.

I was debating PS3 vs. '360 and was disappointed when all these RROD problems came about, but since MS replaces them free-of-charge, it made me feel a little better. For me, the biggest difference at the time was the quality of the games being produced; '360 has and IMO, still has, a superior range of games that I want to play / purchase. But now, I think that the Live content and capability is what makes this platform soar; Sony is still playing catch-up (and giving it away for free), and I'm not sure what Nintendo is doing... I now realize that the '360 probably isn't the best platform for kid-friendly games; Nintendo wins that hands-down. And I think PS2 is so stable b/c the processing power is several notches below the current generation. I just bot the HD DVD player and it's still in the box...

As for replacement, I brought my box into BestBuy, showed them my receipt and they literally took an unopened box and swapped out the CPU with mine; I took it home, plugged in my HD and all, and I was away. If I had bot it at Walmart (open 24 hours), I might not have lost even one night. Wink

Gears of War to be out in stores for PC on November 6.

http://gamespot.com/news/6181417.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=multimodule&tag=multimodule;picks;title;4

Includes 5 levels not on the Xbox version, three new multiplayer maps, the seven multiplayer maps and annex mode from the Xbox downloadable content. Also includes a game editor for user-generated maps for good measure. 50 bucks, support for Vista and XP. I can't wait.

I've said it before: the last half of 07 is crazy for fps. I haven't tried Medal of Honour Airborne, but there's been Bioshock and Orange Box already, CoD4 to come and GOW to come. Guitar Hero III out on PC in November as well. Awesome.

I'm looking forward to COD4... MoHA didn't get very good reviews from what I recall. Halo3 and Gears is about as far as I'll go for sci-fi fps... Been hooked on R6V... Mad

I highly recommend picking up Orange Box. Ridiculous bundle for the price.

I'm hooked on Skate. Reminds me of when I became completely obsessed with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater for the Dreamcast.

One of the main goals of TF2 was to make it easy to learn and easy to play for newer players, and they did an awesome job of it, too. It takes practice to be a dominate player, but just about anyone can step in and feel like they are making a positive difference for their team.

That could be fun, but for kids who don't know any better because their parents haven't done their freakin parenting, this could dangerously glorify violence and give kids a terrible view of what kind of damage weapons can really cause.

I'm not blaming the manufacturer here, but the parents who don't fucking parent their kids.
