Bob Mackenzie reconfirms Richards' short list is of 4 teams: as mentioned Dall , Cbj , Chi and Van. He feels Van is no.3 in the pecking order behind Dal and CBJ, only based on his opinion and from what he's hearing who's offering the most. But emphasized in the end its BR's choice.
Bob took a pop shot at Eklund as he signed off , on TSN.s coverage tomorrow " we wont have a guy in the cellar and all my reports will be "B5's" |

Wow, I'm hearing that Vancouver's offer is Patrick White, Luc Bourdon, and Cory Schneider for Richards. Of that group, I'd miss Bourdon the most, but can live with it...
Columbus' offer is Ole Kristian Tollefsen, Gilbert Brule and Dan Fristche.
Dallas' offer is Mike Smith and some players...
Eklund suggests that Vancouver still has the inside track on this... Which is a little puzzling since Tampa ought to be getting a Top 4 pick this draft year...
Which Canucks have NTCs? Off the top of my head: Salo, Ohlund, Mitchell (?)... Does BXA's extension include a NTC? _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

| hmmm I didn't really think we were in the running for OJ either, I've already ordered my Richards jersey! Was wondering what they would do with BMo if they did get Richards as well, Can't really see him on the wing with Naslund and Richards.... |

| yeah , this has real legs , its not an Eklund rumour or a fanboy proposal. Richards named the Canucks on a short list , Nonis has an offer on the table.. its in play , lots of anxious fans tonight! last year Nonis made his deals on Trade day Eve. |

| I just realised I haven't thought about our UFA's at all really - can't see them trading Naslund, but we might as well try and get something for Cooke and if we brought in another centre I don't know about Mo - don't know what you'd get for him anyway given that he's hurt - would it have to be conditional? |

Well... I'm starting to get a bad feeling about this Richards thing. Been hearing more and more that Dallas and Columbus are ahead; Dallas I can see, but Columbus? Would he really want to go to another city where hockey is regularly relegated to page 4 or 6 of the sports section? That isn't yet in the playoffs? Does Feaster & the Lightning really want Dan Fritsche, Gil Brule and Ole-Kristian Tollefsen?
Dammit... I wish we'd hear something either way... _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

| It's kinda fun to hear that Richards put us on a list of teams he'd go to after having been spurned by big names in years past. Nolan comes to mind. I'd think Olli wouldn't mind a real chance with Lui to make playoff splash but he's lacking the NTC to have any control. I find it interesting that Columbus' offer doesn't include a goalie. |

If you think about it, it's not that surprising... Columbus doesn't want to part with LeClaire or Norrena, not when they are chasing a playoff spot. LeClaire is probably untouchable as far as CLB goes anyway and Tampa wants a starter, not a backup like Norrena or a prospect like Mason (they already have two good goalie prospects). Instead, the market for goalies will be much better during the summer, so the Lightning will want to load up on picks that they can possibly use to acquire a goalie. _________________ ... Remember, Brulé for Crosby straight up would be a STEAL for Pittsburgh. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? Anything that doesn't mention that I masturbate over her memory is probably a good idea."

Brule is a blue chipper. The Euro is already and NHLer, and Fritsche is solid too.
Patrick White = Nathan Smith.
Bourdon and Schnieder are solid prospects, but neither, at this stage, are blue chip. Mike SMith is solid, but again, who else is in the package.
Tampa should be all over Columbus' offer... |

Again, because Razz along with his enormous wealth of NHL calibre wisdom said so,What would we do without your knowledge and ability to see the future?(Mr.Brad Stuart is one of the best D-Men in The NHL) |
