What do you mean you want to and can't?
Why not? Is it just a matter of waiting for the lil Q to be converted and accepted into your faith? Or is there something else? |
No, that's the one... still waiting, may be a while yet. |
If I can complete the courses faster wanna get married? I don't think Farang would mind, just as long as he gets to wear a bridesmaid! Or the bridesmaid's dress!
How far along is the lil Q from completing everything? I thought she had started her studies when you were both living in Toronto? |

Enjoy as best you can dude, I was very uncomfortable with turning thirty.
"Don't trust anyone over thirty" was all I could think about back then.
My other concern was that some magical age like thirty was going to require me to act more mature...turns out in hindsight it doesn't at all. _________________ It's not you Sundin, it's me...please just leave...and don't look back....please please do not look back. |

For me, it was Roger Daltrey's refrain of, "I hope I die before I get old" is what I always remember.

You're right. If anything, having kids gives me license to spend money on Legos, Nerf guns, video games, comic books, and Transformer toys. Last week, I was in this gamestore checking out the prices of foosball tables. BTW, has anyone read the Batman series Hush?
Hmmmm... That one costs about 5 full tanks of gas; but that other one looks like it's made better for the price of just one more tank of gas... _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

Hey J, you and I share the same birthday minus 1 day. Yeah, next year I will be turning 40, but I've never really been bummed about age. I still feel the same, with the exception of a few more pounds.
Happy birthday fellow Gemini. _________________

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU'S
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU'S
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU'S GUYSES
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU'S
Last night at Dairy Queen, the girl working asked Josh and I "what would you's guyses like?"
So - since there are 2 of you celebrating birthdays this weekend, I thought I should echo her graceful grammar and linguistic skills, and share! And since you've moved birthday discussions out of the birthday thread - I thought I should share here!
you's guyses.... WTF man? Our edumucation system is failing the youth of today!

That reminds me... I went to Coldstone Creamery last weekend and had the "Founders Favorite" - Sweat cream ice cream, fudge brownie, caramel and pecans... Mmmmmm... _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

"Coffee Lover's Only" is my fave there. The Nebraskan digs "Mud Pie Mojo."
As for the whole 30 thing, meh, I was dreading 30 but really, I don't mind it much at all. The hair is starting to gray, but it's still on my head (for the most part), in some ways I'm in better physical condition than I was 3-4 years ago, and while I don't mind being carded, it's kinda nice to not get it every single frickin' place I go, and never do I get quizzed on my own ID like I used to...that was beyond irritating. I noticed at around 27 or so that I can't hold liquor like I used to (the result of what felt like a week long hangover after a night of kamikazes at Cali's) but pretty much everything else still works...
Now of course I'm saying this before I hit 31 in a few months...
In any event, happy b-day Ian! |

US, you're a brave man. I don't even want to think about 40. I freaking remember my mom's 40th birthday very well, so that can't be good.
And thanks Maureen! Oh, and because I missed it before, yes, if you beat the LQ to it, sure, I'll marry you. (Looks around to make sure LQ is not reading).

I think that's one of the reasons I'm not thrilled with hitting this milestone: I have been blessed with a very strong metabolism, and I feel it's starting to slow down a little now. I'm in worse shape than I've been in in years.
Also, having to attend 450 weddings this summer (including one tomorrow, on my actual birthday) is a grave reminder. _________________

I've got a crazy metabolism too, but I figure it's going to start slowing down at some point so I've tried to get a head start on the transition to eating better _________________ Bring back the old OTP!
