Yesterday I had 4 hours of dental surgery on a root canal gone wrong.

Today I am at work wondering how long it takes for the effects of anaesthesia to wear off. I am so stoopid right now. They did give me fun painkillers though. Thank god. Cuz when I woke up this morning, it felt like someone had kicked me in the mouth/jaw.

Shocked

oh my god I hate dental pain.

Hope it clears fast. Got some good pills?

I had a good in office Root canal experience a few weeks back...unfortunately found out yesterday my dental coverage of 80% still leaves me on the hook for more than $1000 bucks of it as for some reason some of this they decided should of been billed different than the oral surgeon.

Hmmmm.....how does my company expect people to take comments like "...establishing a culture of continuous learning to promote excellence..." coupled with a >75% cut in training dollars for next year?

Feel better soon, Maureen. Mix the pain pills liberally with alcohol for better results. Laughing

Thanks RW!

I am actually off to play pool tonight - last game before the playoffs begin! Somehow I have a feeling that drinks will be very liberally mixed with happy pills!

Laughing

Hounsy,
I am in the same boat - my benefits cover 85%, but when the dental surgery, anesthetic, crown and everything else is factored in, my total bill for this is $6,500.

Shocked

Even at 85% coverage this totally sucks.

know what? I am too stoned to care today!

Yeouch, feel better, Maureen... and perhaps don't mix too liberally, as we don't want the authorities coming after RW.

You know, if they are going to sell five pound bags of peanut M&Ms, they really ought to use Splenda in them or something...

I don't blame you Tom. They should put all conventions in a fenced in area with hotels. The security personael are not allowed leave the compound nor are the delegates. News media would be allowed in and out to do their jobs altough I'm iclinclined to keep then caged up too. Protestors must sign up for agreed times within the compound and must also agree to be beaten up by the other side's security apparatus. All protestors will be released without charges when the conventoion (s) are over. Any security personel / delegate who leave or try to excersice authority outside the compound zone will be tazered in the genitals for at least one hour and then jailed for 10 years just because they are fucking powermad assholes. This especially applies to private security who will receive 25 years in a super max prison.

BTW. Moving the President around so much has also created a massive cluster fuck. Put the fucker in one place and leave them there. The traffic jams they cause every time they go somewhere are fucked up beyond belief. Quit moving asswipe. You have satilletes that can see a pube on a hot beach bunny, you have TV you have the CIA for chrst's sake. The president always knows what's going on. You wanna communicate Talk on TV. Or try this It's called radio. The bastard should have to stay at one of three places, the White House, Camp David or their own House / Compound. No other movement is allowed unless an emergency occurs. Then move them into the secret super secure bat cave bunker and weld / close them in forever. All other VIP's get the same treastment. All we do then is go back into the public ranks to find at least 100 other Americans who are just as good as the ones we just got rid of.

Guess what assholes. You're just a first amongst equals. Start acting like it. It worked for Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln. It'll work for the next President. Quit acting like f'n royalty. Peace out...

I wish I hadn't been so quick to disregard Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" as a Jill Sobule-knockoff with overbearing production, robotized auto-tuned vocals and what amounts to really just a vapid attempt to court controversy.

It's still all those things, but after listening to it I realized just how perfectly fitting all the seemingly mundane pieces are - from the escalating beeping guitars to Perry's own comical over-pronunciations (especially "Just to tu-rye-it.").

It's amazing how dense some of these modern pop songs are. It still sounds like a wall of noise when listening to it on YouTube, radio or 128 kbps, but with a quality rig you can really pick out some of the weird instrumental touches going on.

Not a perfect song by any means, but a pretty good distillation of better, more underground club music.

I really don't get it! My boyfriend went out and bought her cd while we were in Edmonton on vacation... and I have only ever heard men singing the song.

It's catchy...but not that catchy!

Dudes like the song for obvious reasons, but more subconsciously it works because the refrain sounds like Gary Glitter's "Rock N Roll Pt. 2."
