So where has Skinnem been?

Well, what a month it's been!

I had my 3rd and final tooth surgery for the root canal gone wrong, and was rather out of it for a week. And then, Skinnem Jr. AKA Joshua, was goofing around at school last week, wrestling, and his friend flipped and pinned him - but it went so terribly wrong. He landed in the worst way possible and severed 50% of his ACL tendon, and has not been able to walk or put any weight on it since. Shocked

My poor baby. My poor 6 foot 2" 200 pound baby. Crying or Very sad
This is just so awful for him.
I have to help him everywhere and with everything. Including baths - which we have figured out with little to no embarassment. He just keeps his boxers on when I help him into the tub.

So he has an MRI scheduled for next week to see the extent of the damage - carteledge, ligaments, miniscus - and then the ACL itself. And then we will see the orthopaedic surgeon the next day for the results and to see if surgery is needed.

It's been a rough 3 weeks or so! and work is crazy busy so I have had no time to play! I hate it when I come to work, and ummm.. they make me work.

I can't wait for down time to catch up with my friends on OTP!
I have honestly missed you guys and been thinking about you.
love and hugs,
Maureen

Yeeeeeouch. The same thing happened to one of my baseball teammates a few years back after an accidental collision at home plate. That story doesn't have a happy ending, I'm afraid.

Ugh... rough night last night... pretty solid hangover today.

Jonathon Torrens complimented me on my fashion sense. He might be gay. But he better bring back Jonovision like I asked him to now that Trailer Park Boys has run its course.

Man, I'm starting to feel the grind.

When you awake you will remember everything. You will be hanging on a string. When you believe, you will relieve the only soul that you were born with to grow old and never know.

PopMontreal starts tomorrow. Five days of loud music, free poutine, microbrews and partying till the sun rises.

It's great when it happens, but every year my body becomes less thankful.

It must be a real difficult life to have your time be so precious and in demand you can't even make free up enough of it to wipe and flush after you crap at the office washrooms. Absolutely tragic.

Mad

I played a show last night and completely unbeknownst to me, one of the bands happened to be a cover band. I don't usually like cover bands, but these guys totally kicked ass. They'd start with the intro to Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark" and just when you figured out what they were playing they blew into a skanking version of "Goodbye Norma Jean". A three piece. Raging ska versions of Madonna, Elton John, Cat Stevens, The Cars, Michael Jackson, The Who, etc. The bassist/vox used to play with Greenroom, a funk band that some of our locals might be familiar with.
