No fucking way does Harp get a majority. Support has tanked in Quebec, they'll actually lose ground in the Atlantic, and there's nothing left to pick up west of Ontario.
I live in Alberta, so does it really matter if I vote? I'm in the riding that used to belong to Landslide Annie McLellan, but it's projected to easily go CPC again this time... |

I love how he's going to lose his majority basically by saying that regular people don't care about the arts - he's right - regular steerfuckingbiblethumping Medicine Hat residents only want the arts gone (unless it's tacky biblical shit from the bible stores at the gutted strip malls near the hockey stick)
But in Quebec culture is a whole different shit storm!

A ribeye, some salad, and a St. Pauli Girl to wash it all down... And an opening night hockey game on free CI. It doesn't get much better than that. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

Very clever of you guys to start up the political talk during Yom Kippur when I'm not around to moderate -- please don't go down that road. _________________

That wasn't very political - and it was Canadian. So, given that it was Yom Kippur that it happened, do we need to wait till next year to be forgiven? _________________ www.jimdalling.com |

Even the fact that I can barely put weight on my left foot and I have no idea what I did to it can put a damper on my excitement for tonight.
I will however use it as a reason not to go to school today. |

Gotta love that silver lining! Sorry to hear about the injury though... do you know what helps? Beer, and lots of it! (Just not so much that you forget it's injured, that is a fast track to more pain)
In short, have a blast watching the game tonight, but make sure someone else can run to the fridge for you! _________________ The Triumphant Return of Treebait!! |

Pineapple juice and malibu makes for a much better time, I agree. And beer season is kind of over for me... but damn did that pitcher disappear quickly after the Grind this summer.
Also, $10 pitchers at Cafe Crepe on Granville makes Lisa at the Lions game a cheering machine!!! _________________ The Triumphant Return of Treebait!! |

OH OH OH - Lisa!
Have I got a great drink for you! I made up the ingredients, and the bartender where I play pool on Wednesday's named it after me (she has always called me "The Prom Queen" of my pool league!)
so - it's a shot of vodka, a shot of melon liquer, and a pint glass full of ice and then fill almost to the top with pineapple juice and a splash of cranberry juice - and the name of my drink is "The Easy Prom Queen!"
What a tremendously enjoyable drunk it is! They go down way to easy - and then so do I!

My sister and I went to the Bob Ackles game with a whole pile of my (brand new) coworkers... a couple of them still give me funny looks every once in a while!
We don't really follow football, it was just an excuse to be drunk and rowdy... and make fun of crappy cheerleaders. (Orange boots? Seriously?) _________________ The Triumphant Return of Treebait!! |
