| Lilith, I think you mean the Fourth Estate, if you're referring to the media. |
Actually El - the 4th estate is print media. The 5th estate is electronic, which at the time meant T.V. |
Yeah, I've heard alternative media described as the fifth estate, but someone already defined the fifth estate in the early 20th century as the dull nobodies, so it doesn't really apply.
The fourth estate covers all media, even the little guys. There's no reason to change centuries-old handles if they work. |
The "Dull nobodies" would be the 3rd estate - the commoners. But hey - if you want the clergy to still be the first estate, then I'll go back to my old job, lol _________________ The fans represent the soul of the organization. This is their team. Here's what Wikipedia has to say on the subject:
Fifth Estate is any class or group in society other than the the clergy (First Estate), the nobility (Second Estate), the middle class (Third Estate), and the press (Fourth Estate)[1]. It has been used to describe trade unions, the poor, organized crime, German propaganda and spies during World War II (by the French). It can also be used to describe media that sees itself in opposition to mainstream (Fourth Estate) media.
OK, now I'm more confused.
Anyways, wasn't this thread about some knocked up teenager? _________________ It seems like you need to be a physics professor to choose the right TV. Luckily, I am one.

Felt like hijacking this Seinfeldian thread. _________________ The fans represent the soul of the organization. This is their team. Us, we simply try to make it better. Seems like as good a thread as any to post this shit: I present you, the woman most likely to have only one hit. The only woman to ever owe everything to her back-up band - the amazing Dap-Kings! The woman who makes Brittney Spears deserving of Mensa! Miss! Amy! Winehouse!
http://www.popcrunch.com/amy-winehouse-wandering-street-in-bra/
Let's celebrate her festivus with the 12 days of Christmas - as only Amy Winehouse can!

She's the latest celebrity trainwreck - she had that song about not going to Rehab - and if you check out this photo, you'll see why she needs it:

Man, where have you been? All the old ladies at the office even know who she is. Musically/stylistically, she's kind of the new Alicia Keys. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Yeah I typically don't listen to the music that old ladies at the office do.
Had to see what wwtdd said about this:

| Jamie and her mom both said this was shocking, which means one of us need to look up the term "shocking". Because I don't think they're using it the way the person who invented the term shocking meant it to be used. I think he meant it to mean like if you're sleeping and someone whacks you in the balls with a shovel. I think he meant, like, "surprising". "Unexpected". Like if you saw a unicorn. But some bony teen getting on top of a Spears girl and nervously fucking her then not pulling out and getting her pregnant? Yeah. Yeah, that sounds about right. |
Gotta agree. Surprised is about the last word that would have ever popped into my head when I learned that little Spears was preggers.
Even funnier:

After spending the last year working on a new album, Ashlee’s debut video was set to release to big fanfare.
Unfortunately, the spotlight just wasn’t meant to be for Simpson, thanks to the news that Jamie Lynn Spears is with child.
“Ashlee can’t believe this happened. She’s so disappointed,” said a source.
“Her sister, Jessica, grew up in the shadow of Britney; it took years for Jess separate herself from her. How ironic that Ashlee’s big day ends up spent in the shadow of Britney’s little sister.”
“Joe Simpson doesn’t do anything by chance. This date (for the video release) was picked clearly; he expected it to be the talk of the town,” said the source. “Jamie Lynn didn’t just steal the spotlight; she sucked the oxygen out of the week. This week it’s all about her.”
Ashlee is living in a fantasy word if she thinks she would have been the headline if not for Jamie Lynn. She's completely average in every way, at best. It would be more exciting to just randomly dial your phone or turn your oven on and off than to watch anything with Ashlee Simpson in it. Watching her is like sitting your chair in front of a plain beige wall and then just staring at it, except that Ashlee is way more boring.

Mentioning Ashlee Simpson means I can post her new video, a song that was produced by Timbaland and is downright stupid.

| The best part of the OP story is that Their mom has delayed the release of her book on how to raise your children healthy and happy. |

She's completing a new chapter on "How to teach your 16-year old daughter to use her teenage boyfriend to get her pregnant and sell the story to the tabloids for a million bucks". Shocking my ass, this is probably as planned a pregnancy as you can get. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!
