If they can actually get Bilbo's name into the title somehow, well, the porn parody pretty much writes itself. _________________

Just as soon as he's done writing letters back to little orphan kids about why they aren't getting jack shit this year, yes. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

The 'book' is originally a six-volume series. Fellowship represented the first two chapters; Two Towers, chapters 3 and 4; and ROTK, chapters 5 and 6. To squeeze more blood from stone, there was a seven-volume set that included some titles written by Christopher Tolkein. [/Jyrki21] _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

No, it was three books, and as tCl pointed out, 2 volumes in each book
"The Hobbit" was much thinner than any one of the LOTR books
Not sure how he's gonna milk 2 movies out of it
Looks like he wont have the problem he had with LOTR, of what to leave in, what to leave out _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

Well I would imagine he puts some elements from The Silmirallion in play before he starts the whole hobbit thing. _________________

I've started that book twice and still can't finish it. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

The Lord of the Rings is indeed a trilogy. As far as I know, it was never meant to be one book. The Hobbit is one book.
As far as the Silmarillion - I, too, started that one - more than once. It is so complicated that I have decided that when I start it again, I will take notes, as Sr and Jr Tolkien have several different names for each character. And, silly me, I just could not keep track. _________________ No one can make you feel inferior without your permission. |

If you read the link tCl provided, you'll learn Tolkien originally wrote it as one book, and split it into 3 to appease the publishers
I'm sure 99% of the people who've read it, did so as a trilogy (the same way Jackson did) _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |
