Elizabeth Jr. -- the Chris Chelios of British royalty.

Not longest-serving, though, a record still held by Victoria (the Doug Jarvis of British royalty).

As a Brit myself I think we should trade her to the Dane's for an up and coming noble and a few draft picks and start the rebuild. With William as the center piece of our future still a few years away we should start building around him now.

The 21st century in European monarchy belongs to the Danes. And as if the English will ever go with a youth movement... the people would never have the patience to see it through.

I agree... The Big 'E' has been terrific at times but she's really showing her age now. Let's not forget that the 'Next One', Charlie, was a complete fuck-up and didn't exactly lead with distinction. And that case of unfulfilled promise has only raised the expectations for the current generation. William might be okay, but with no other reasonable prospects to speak off, he has to be more than okay... Frankly, I just don't see it happening; the Brits are doomed to be no better than a mid-tier franchise for the foreseeable future.

Harry is underrated. He's not going to wow people out of their seats or anything, and he's a bit of a loose cannon at times, but he contributes in more subtle ways and -- I'm told -- is quite vocal in the chambers. You can't succeed without guys like that.
