Anybody else want to admit they watch Wipeout?

I find the show hilarious and actually would like to try the course (although since I really haven't worked out since I got back from training).

Of my other staples Ice Road Truckers is done for the year which sucks.

Nice, I just made the upgrade this morning. Time to get my free episodes of Psych (although I doubt I will be able to in Canada).

I think it's only one ep per show, but still, it's worth doing if you want to check out some shows that you haven't yet seen.

FRINGE

It's got everything I could ever want. Sci-fi, pseudo-sciences, a really hot clone of Cate Blanchett, Dawson Creek's Joshua Jackson, cool special effects of people losing their skin and becoming translucent, government conspiracies, evil corporations, a secret lab in Harvard, cows, convoluted plot twists, and car chases.

With Fringe and House on Tuesdays, it's no guarantee I'll be watching the Habs on Les Mechants Mardis.

Got to see this on the encore presentation. I was thoroughly entertained, though I really hope the kooky doctor doesn't continue to act so kooky to the point of annoyance. Also, the action and wacky science needs to take precedence over the convoluted corporate conspiracy subplot.

And what was up with those giant floating locale letters? I was half-expecting one of the characters to bump his or her head on them!

What got my attention even more though was the preview of the upcoming 24 movie. Nice to see villains other than the requisite Arab terrorists, but really, ANOTHER evil corporation? Yeesh... Rolling Eyes Anyhow we'll see if the writers can bounce back from a lackluster season 6 and a year-long break between filming episodes due to the strike. Just read some Wikipedia stuff on the upcoming season--apparently Tony Almeida will be back Shocked and CTU will have been disbanded (about damned time, FEMA could've done a better job).

New House tonight!!!

Hugh Laurie plays a fantastic asshole... so much so that I couldn't enjoy watching Stuart Little with Mr.TB's nieces. That man has no business playing nice guys!

Anyhoo, this season could open with the departure of Wilson, whose schemy-bitch girlfriend died at the end of last season (which is too bad, cuz she was so much fun when she was feuding with House!). Wilson is usually House's conscience, so it could be interesting to see what could happen without his compassionate, softer side to House's crotchety grouch.

Also have to watch the SYTYCD Canada that I taped last night. (Mostly just to see if anyone I know tried out!)... and ANTM... but we won't talk about that. I'm so ashamed!!!)

Worst Week

The premise may be thin (amiable doofus knocks up his way-too-hot-for-him girlfriend, tries hard to impress her stern parents so that they will take the news better and everything that can go wrong, does) but if they can somehow keep up the momentum from the first episode this will likely be the funniest show on the air. Definitely on my must-watch list this season!

Isn't that the premise for the movie Knocked Up?

Not really--because the doofus in that one isn't amiable, he's just kind of a perpetually stoned jackass. Also, this one is funny and, sorry, I just didn't quite get what everyone saw in Knocked Up. I laughed a few times, but for the most part was just bored.

I agree with you there, Josh Groban had us rolling on the floor with the South Park song. I was really surprised that the Province TV reviewer hated that part. It was a high point in an othewise totally dull evening.

Glad to hear someone else got the Forrest Gump moment, my hubby missed it completely

DL'ed In Plain Sight's Season 1 premier... Meh... Nothing special - does it get any better? Is the rest of the season worth watching?

My feelings on Fringe are mixed. It's a drama, but the slapstick runs pretty rampant throughout. I'm really only watching it because I like the characters. Anna Torv has this really hot, confused stare everytime someone explains something scientific to her, Scully she is not.

I wish TV prodcution companies, wouldn't release info on contract squabbles with cast members. It totally kills the element of suprise on the tv show. You always here the headlines "so and so quits the show" and then first episode the person dies, shocking.

ER had that problem as well as CSI on two accounts.

Well, one show didn't disappoint, and that was Dirty Sexy Money. Great show and vastly underappreciated. Hopefully it survives well enough to warrant another season.

Also saw the season premiere of Pushing Daisies. It's worth it for no other reason than it's without a doubt the craziest show on TV. And Chi McBride gets the most quotable dialogue I've heard in a long time. Laughing

I loved that show but it disappeared from the night I was watching it, and I couldn't find it on any schedules, so I just assumed it was gone!!!

I'm so glad it's still on. It is a completely ridiculous show, and Olive steals the show for me everytime...

Shocked

Dammit man. It was on last night? I LOVE THAT SHOW! I hope they re-run it soon. That was the highlight of new t.v. shows for me last year.

Did the crazy Pee Wee Herman guy (I can't believe I'm blanking on his real name) make an appearance in the episode last night?

I believe most all of the networks allow you to catch up with the shows online. I know CW, NBC, SciFi, and CBS do, not sure about ABC though.
