Let me be the first to christen this new Canucks forum on the new OTP site. Here's to thoughtful converstion, good laughs and reasons to be a Canucks fans. All that because there's nothing to write about at this time in the A.M. The chair in practice has already been covered. The next game isn't until Friday and unless Cloutier gets called up in the next few hours, we'll not have much to discuss until then. Hopefully the Canucks masses will find their way here from the sinking ship.

I guess if Canucks fans can survive the hallowe'en uniforms, Harry Neale and wee Arthur Griffiths, trading Cam Neely away, Keenan, Messier, Stan the Toady, Bertuzzi's donkey punch on Moore, Cloutier's goaltending and still be Canucks fans, we can survive anything. In event of a nuclear war, only coachroaches, Keith Richards and Canucks fans will survive. Is it considered cheating if we recruit as many hot looking chicks as possible to be Canucks fans in event of a nuclear war? Sorry razz, you're not invited. |

Some questions:
Can someone tell me why we needed to do this?
Is Ian officially taking over from Cali?
Is someone going to be able to resurrect the old OTP and merge it with this one (someone has probably mentioned it somewhere, too lazy to look)?

Cali mentioned Tuesday or Wednesday that he no longer had the time / ability to run OTP as it had been in the past. Fortunately members far more computer savvy than I were able, with Cali's help, to find this, which I gather is free if not a little more bothersome in terms of admin.
I assume Cali will be coming and will be an admin, and as far as I can see it's a joint effort between Av and Jyrki with the help of the other usual suspects... |

Actually Av is running the show, Ian and Bruce are pulling the oars though!
The reason is that Cali had to give it up but no details given. And the old OTP is gone, think of this just another iteration of the first crash of OTP. |

As mentioned, Av is formally the new admin, but he had to go bang his girlfriend or something, and couldn't deal with the birth pangs of the new forum. So he'd admin'ed me in his absence. It's fine if he wants to reduce me to mod once he gets back.

Well, I'm mainly just the dude that watches the construction and yells suggestions from behind the fence.
My main job has been to start some of the forums up again and initiate some discussion.
