Will Vinny lay an ass whuppin' on the Habs? Oddly enough the Habs have done a decent job keeping the NHL's best player in check the past couple of years.

That being said, we're in a major tailspin right now.

I don't really know if we are in a major tailspin.... we're just spinning our tires like every other crappy team in the league right now.

2-0 Montreal right now. Tampa's a terrible hockey team aside from about 5 players. If you dropped Lecavalier, Richards, and St. Louis, the Lightning wouldn't beat the Victoria Salmon Kings. Shut down Lecavalier's line, you win. Easier to do when you've got last change. That is the #1 reason for Tampa's competitiveness... having last change at home.

Richards' own linemates do a good enough job of shutting down Brad on their own, without the help of, you know, facing NHL quality d-men.

Having to have Andreas Karlsson and Mathieu Darche skate with Brad Richards is an embarrassment... and we think it's bad when Kostopolous and Dandenault get shots with Koivu.

Benching Chipchura confirms to me that Carbo does not have a good pulse on this team. Kyle Chipchura is one of Montreal's best forwards, and has been our 2nd best centreman for the whole season.

I love the talk of trading Vinny or St. Louis. Together the two of them are worth almost any combination of more than 2 players that add up to their salaries. They're not the reason Tampa sucks so they shouldn't be going anywhere.

Tampa started Holmqvist. No wonder it's 3-0.

5-2 final. Can't complain. Ryder still sucks, though. And Chipchura doesn't. Simple equation, really.

It's obvious the Bolts don't have the best roster that a $43m payroll can buy, but there were way better inexpensive options than Jan Hlavac and Mathieu Darche for the Bolts to pick up to help fill out their roster around the big 3.

Worried about Ramo in this environment... it's not exactly one ripe for a 21 year old Euro rookie goalie to take over. He is their best goalie, and that's sad in and of itself. Cujo's in the Spengler Cup as a last resort... that's better than potentially ruining a promising prospect.

Hopefully for them the new owner is able to help out.

I think they picked up Michel Ouellet hoping that he would be that guy. I was about to say Jeff Hamilton, but Ouellet actually has more points. What's going on with Ryan Craig?

Do you know what Ramo is like? Would his confidence get killed playing behind a really inconsistent team like the Bolts?

Mathieu Darche is in the NHL?! Cool, I went to school with him (mind you, I didn't actually know him, but some friends did).
