I originally had some theories, stats and other miscellaneous info to back up the title but I don't really feel like it right now...

Trade Cole, cut Grahame, get another defensemen play brookbank more get rid of Kaberle, Wesley and hedican. I don't care that we don't have people to replace them, just get rid of them!

No way should you get rid of Cole, injury prone or not he's a huge asset to this team when healthy. You don't get rid of the players who make their teammates better, and Cole does just that, especially Staal.

The defense though. Well, it's unlikely the Kings will keep Brad Stuart, he'll probably be gotten for cheap, and it's entirely possible Rutherford could get his hands on John-Michael Liles for a reasonable price as well.

A shame, I thought Cullen was playing well again after the Canes got him back.

I actually do want to hear your theories, because this team looks pretty good on paper (although it seems most of your ire is being directed towards the defence).

What's the deal with Staal? I always thought he lacked the physical prowess to be dominant 5-on-5, but I'm surprised he isn't racking up the points this season. And frankly anything less than PPG should be a disappointment for him.

Cole is a floater. If he isn't driving the net on a rush he is floating around usually. He doesn't play much defense anymore. Ray Whitney is much better defenseivley than Cole. He really has no game at the moment other than the occasional good drive to the net.

Cullen has been playing very well! He gives one of the most consistent efforts as any of our forwards.

The game before last against the Islanders; Brookbank had over a hit a minute. Granted he only played less than 4 minutes. That still jumped right out at me. The Canes are so soft and now that they have somebody to change that Lavi won't put them out on the ice. Wade had 11 seconds of ice time last night!

Staals problems are Cole being basically useless, and nobody playing with any heart or confidence.

The PP is horrible, the PK is somehow even worse than that.

Brind'Amour hasn't been the leader on the ice that he has been in the past. He hasn't shown the efforts that he normally does.

The goalies never save the team when the defense fails. For fucks sake they held the Thrashers to 15 shots on goal last night counting OT and Ward gave up 5 goals. Is expecting the goalie to save the team a couple times at least asking for to much?

The defense when they fail and make bad plays are usually catastrophic. We need another good NHL level defensemen something bad! Wesley is starting to show his age, Kaberle is a joke, Hedican hasn't been healthy in several years it seems.

Tim Gleason has been doing it all recently. He seems to be the only one that shows up every time he hits the ice. Commodore and Seidenberg have been pretty good as well.

I'm not sure at what point you have to start blaming the coaching staff. I feel the PP and PK is all their faults. Lavi doesn't seem to want to adapt to what he has. He just keeps trying to plug players into his system. I mean I can't remember how many times I've been screaming at them for having the wrong handed shots on the pp point and trying to get one timers. Why the hell does he do that? I know its him and not the players as it happens to often.

alright I'm kinda tired of typing at the moment.
