If anyone remembers , Rumble In the Bronx was a Jackie Chan flick based in the Bronx of course but filmed in Vancouver and clearly noticeable in the movie. Its a cult classic out here bsed on that humor alone.
Ill be at the game tonight. First Rangers game in Vancouver since 2002 I believe. |

PPV again. Everything about PPV sucks. If it cost $2 it would be worth it. If it were broadcast in HD and as much effort put into it as TSN/SPAC/CBC it's just worth the $13. The current quality and professionalism put into PPV is a complete joke. My sister in law whom works for Shaw was telling me that Shaw is talking to the Canucks about getting rid of PPV games because of all the complaints that Shaw keeps getting and of course the refunds they are giving back all the time. PPV needs to step it up or just stop completly.
As for the game tonight. Rangers looked like shit last night. I'm expecting that to carry through to tonight with no rest. 5-1 Nucks. |

The big question, Luvah, is which jersey are you going to wear to the game? Secondly, how much did you bet on the Rangers? _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

| The Canucks should win this one since the Rainjahs played in Calgary last night. Lundquist however, does have the ability to stand on his head and the Canucks are still without Ohlund which will hurt them at some point in time. Naslund needs to get it going. After tonight the Canucks will have reached the midway point in the season and the teams they play this month are certainly beatable. They have a 5 day break before starting the second half against the Islanders. Tonight, just win baby. Just win. |

Im actually not much of a Rangers fan lately. I still root for them in the east but I've maybe caught 10 Ranger games since the lockout. Tonight is the first Ranger game Ill be going to since the early Pavel Bure days ( when he was happy here) , I didnt even see them when Messier was here.
Got my pick on the Canucks tonight and the Under , Rangers played last night , not sure if King Henrik is in or Valiquette but I like Luongo to get er done no matter what.
The Canucks survived that chaotic December , now they get some rest time between games. 1 game in 6 days. |

I'd like to see the Canucks strategy tonight be to shut down Jagr...and kidnap Shanahan.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The boys need to get their intensity level back up.
They haven't been winning the races for the puck for the past two games and it is making a difference.
They're slowly sliding downhill though the stats aren't showing a slump yet. They need more jump to gain posession and they need more focus once they have the puck.
Some of our givaways the last few games have been brutal.
They continue to play parts of the game very well but, with a team like ours, we have to execute on all aspects of the game to stay on top.
I hope we don't need to revisit our October results before we get our focus back.
C'mon guys.....show us your determination !
There's nothing worse than a sloppy performance on PPV.
(but, if you do get the chance....don't forget to kidnap Shanahan) |

WTF was that? Complete control by the Rangers in the first period. I don't think I saw one scoring chance for Vancouver. The Rangers didn't leave any room for Vancouver anywhere on the ice. Great period for the Rangers so far.

Holy crap is the team playing poorly. 7 maybe 8 shots on goal and they're lucky to be leading 1-0. Now they're being assessed another penalty for hauling down Prucha just after another NY PP ended... _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

I would NOT be the least bit surprised if this is the first game the Nucks lose when leading after two periods. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

That was perhaps the fugliest 2 points they've received this season... The way the Rangers played, they deserved to get at least a point. I'd be pissed if I were a Rags fan. No offence whatsoever in the first or second period... Kesler was perhaps their best forward through those periods... A slightly better period in the first 15 minutes of the third, but the outcome still wasn't certain.
Whistler is right; they don't win races to loose pucks... They were also uncharacteristically sloppy in their own end... Jyrki's boy, Krajicek, was particularly noticeable in the first. Nine shots in the first two periods? Holy hell, that's embarrassing, especially at home. The Sedins and Naslund were going nowhere fast for 56 minutes and the PP looked pathetic. Hopefully, they can use this break in the schedule to get some good practices and get their edge back. For 56 minutes the Rangers played them very well and didn't give them anything; fortunately for the Canucks, the better goalie was wearing their jersey... Some very weak goals by Valiquette. Pity, I was looking for a Lundquist/Luongo duel.

... Hmmm... I counted two maybe three players wearing blue jerseys that could be counted on for having their intensity level up... Luongo, Kesler and Mitchell.

Still not doing this...

They've been riding Luongo far too much in the last three weeks. This is bound to bite them in the ass one of these days. They got nothing going offensively all night.

Add one more game... Fortunately, none of them cost them a goal.

Well, tonight's recipe called for 57 minutes of the Luongo Show, with a small helping of Kesler.

Don't even go there.

You're right !
A sloppy performance and LOSING...would be worse lol
But, the way they're going, we're waiting to get slaughtered when/if Bobby Lou has a bad night.
Despite the victories in the Ducks and Rangers games...they're not playing well at all.
Despite owning first place in the NorthWest, we're still only a few games ahead of the pack.
And, despite our excellent record since November, we can't afford to lay back, underachieve and flirt with an inevitable slump.
Luongo, Kesler, the defenseman of the day and a couple of energy guys can't carry this team.
A great goalie and good PK is making us look a lot better than we are at the moment.
They need to pick it up and get back to good hockey. |

Man I can't believe Clouts holds the shutout record, I thought it was going to be Gary suitcase Smith - please God take that one! just listened to the game replay sounded like Cooke had one great shift, hope to see at least the big hit on the replay. Also sounded like maybe splitting the Sedins and Naslund wasn't so bad.
Bumma fo Luva not to see Lundqvist and Shanny, hope you still had a good time at the game! |

That was the first time I got to see the Ranger whites in person. I've only seen them in the old road blues. That was cool to finally see them. Too bad Valiquette was in net , i was really looking forward to seeing King Henrik.
Mikey Brown is now wearing a regular number! #13! he officially ditched the AHL call up number 46. Mike BRown's spunk and toughness has really suprised me , before seeing him I seriously thought he was another Janik Hansen type.. the guy can chuck the knuckles.
The old saying is good teams find a way to win the ugly ones and the Canucks did that. I would be more concerned if they play like that for long stretches but so far the Canucks have been pretty good. Tied for 3rd overall and Luongo just dominating after a ho hum October. |
