I think this thread goes here-

Anybody getting CI on the PPV designated channels?

Are the feeds any good? I have HD and it is painful to watch Standard def on a big screen especially when you have been spoiled with some HD hockey feeds.

If they use HD cameras, but still broadcast in SD it is many times better.

My cable box also has a built in DVR, so I was hoping to Tape games and watch them later, any know restrictions?

I only get the CI feeds that aren't PPV... When there has been a PPV broadcast, I usually end up watching the other team's feed; the last one was the Philly game when the Nucks got blown out 8-2. I watched the Philly feed which was on SD - pretty piss poor at that... I understand that the PPV feed wasn't much better, b/c I think they are actually the same video feed. I think the HD availability completely depends on the home team; if they are using HD equipment, then they can broadcast the games in HD; it just seems that Orca Sports hasn't gotten around to upgrading the broadcast to HD yet.

It's not just the Nucks. The only Canadian team that does any ppvs in HD is the Leafs.

Aren't the other teams actually pay per view per game? Leafs TV is just an additional subscription in a cable package.

Yeah, Bell has dedicated channels for Nucks, Flames, Oilers, and Sens pay-per-view games. I think each team does about 12-13 games at a cost of $10 or $12 each! And it's all Standard Def Rolling Eyes

I thought there were additional leafs ppvs, but I could be mistaken. Either way, I do get LeafsTV and LeafsTV-HD.

I hope you're not paying for them Laughing

Currently, Center Ice Online is only doing standard def broadcasts. Which really blows. Last night, I saw it on the 40" tv that I'm looking at getting and it looked worse than it does on my 22". Though the guy said that the laptop we were using sucks, so that might have had something to do with the quality. Guess we'll find out if I buy it...

Apparently they're going to try HD later in the season. I sure as hell hope so.

You know...call me silly but I literally just found the NHL Network channel on Dish Network. Where the hell has this channel been in my life? Is this part of the Center Ice package?

Channel 403 for you Dish subscribers.

I think the US networks have just picked it up this year. It's been in Canada for a few years, I think.

Good shit! When I put Center Ice Online into fullscreen on one monitor, and then run a game at my second monitor's native resolution(1650x1080) thanks to the new beast of a video card, since it doesn't re-size the screen they both stay in fullscreen! Nice!

This is begining to look like quite the rip-off.

I've been looking forward to Leafs @ Anaheim all day - just 'cause those late night West Coast games are so rare. Well it's not even fuckin' on! Mad This is the 3rd game in 2 or 3 weeks that they have not shown.

What about you folks? Do you have the Leafs/Ducks match on?

Atlanta vs. Tampa Bay

NO FEED

Hilarious. Gotta love the NHL...

Pitts vs. Rags is blacked out, in case you were wondering why I'd choose to watch Don Waddel's sucks vs. Jay Feaster's sucks over that game.
