Ken Holland has acknowledged that the Igor Grigorenko experiment has not worked out and that the Red Wings are ready to move on. Grigorenko, who will be a restricted free agent, has not dealt with his conditioning issues and had a subpar season this year in the Russian Super League.
On other prospect matters, Fabian Brunnstrom is visiting the Red Wings on his tour of NHL teams today and tomorrow.
