What would they do without this guy? He generally makes every fine outlet pass every time he is on the ice. He's the straw stirring the drink. _________________ "Don't think (Stay)

Agreed.
Let's just hope Sutter locks him down for 4-5 years before the end of the year...we all know that RFA offer sheets will be coming if he doesn't.
Phaneuf has impressed me in every game I've seen this year and I can guarantee GMs are already coming up with strategies for how to pluck him from Calgary. |

| I've only watched him once this year and it looked to me that he was taking a lot of bad penalties. Was that a one off thing or does he still have some maturing to do? Note: I'm not slagging the guy just an honest question to people who watch him closely. |

There's an article about Dion's rise in a recent hockey news. Though he's done some impressive things as a young defenseman, Sutter points out that Dion still has quite a bit of growing and learning to do. Sutter says that they've sheltered him so far, generally keeping him away from top lines and big penalty killing minutes. We'll see how Keenan is for his development in that sense. He did wonders for Chris Pronger. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

| Dion has some maturing ahead of him. He is still a god, but maybe an adolescent god. Harmy, did you ever get your Dion puck? Shall I make some arrangements? |

Well this would go a ways to explaining why we haven't seen too many players "Phaneufed" so far in the young season... |
It hasn't stopped him from playing the 4th-highest amount of minutes per game in the league. He still hasn't cracked the top-60 D in SH minutes per game, though. That will come as he continues to mature. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!
