Just for Silver Fox and Fogghorn: this thread is originating in the Blackhawks forum, and will be moved to the Canucks forum, leaving behind a shadow topic.

No time for a comprehensive GDT -- Vigneault's putting together some messed-up lines that'll have Byron Ritchie on the second line. Joy.

Mike Brown is scratched from what would have been the first NHL game in his hometown. Ouch.

Pity. After seeing what Vancouver-boy Voros has done for Minnesota against Vancouver, I kinda wish we had Brown in the lineup for a little spark.

Nice to be so recognized. I would hope that other Nuck posters would be so honoured in future GDTs. (For those who have no idea what this refers to, read the "News" forum and site issues)

I just got home now and looked at the scoreboard -- Chicago seems to be leading in every statistical category, and are outhitting the Canucks 10-1...!

Has it been particularly lopsided?

The last 7-8 minutes of the first has been all Chicago. They have a terrific young, fast skating team. Vancouver is lucky to be ahead at the end of the first.

Sweet! And Öhlund ties my man Jyrki in goals, while Näslund passes Linden as all-time points leader.

Huzzah!

These Hawks are going to be a force. Great d, some exciting, creative young guys on offence, and Khabibulin in net. They were a little unlucky not to win - they outworked Vancouver for the most part.

typical road win ...win ugly and do it with the least amount of energy exerted.

Enjoy these wins while we can vs Chicago caz in the new era , the Hawks are going to be a powerhouse and now have ownership to support it.
