As was brought up in Random Thoughts, Cali's title to the domain Offthepost.net expired yesterday, such that Offthepost.net no longer redirects here.
BE SURE YOUR BOOKMARKS POINT DIRECTLY HERE, because I'm not sure this site at its present URL is even on Google.
We can work on repurchasing the domain (I know it's not too expensive, Chuck says it's still locked for the time being), though someone like Chuck will have to tell us how to set it up to redirect, if it's not really obvious.

I have to say that I am rather disappointed that one of us did not snag the offthepost.net domain name. I would have easily paid for it if I had actually known the expire date.

well its registered via godaddy.com.....and it still looks registered to a one George Barti which should be Cali's old man.
Contacting the Master may be a good means of finding out how to rectify this.

Looks like the domain expired as of today.......but it also looks extended until Mar 27 2009......the redirect has been dropped.
Guess I am the king of the obvious.

Yeah, I'll try and get a hold of Joey to see about getting the domain rights and seeing how to go about getting the redirect back up and running this weekend...I too had to google the words to find this again.
Cali initially set up a PhPbb site called "offthepostnet," not sure what happened with that one... |

In order to get the redirect back up you are going to need to buy the domain. According to godaddy:
Registered through: GoDaddy.com, Inc. (http://www.godaddy.com)
Domain Name: OFFTHEPOST.NET
Created on: 27-Mar-03
Expires on: 27-Mar-08
Last Updated on: 26-Mar-07
I tried to snag it when it expired but I had no luck. Looks like godaddy is holding it for a few days to make sure the previous owner didn't just miss a bill or something. If you could get him to pay the bill then transfer it to one of you guys that would work too and probably be quicker.
Hell, there is a chance that this DB could be backed up and re-loaded on a new host without and post/user loss. I offered to do it before but I didn't have the webspace at the time but now I do actually. I could host it for free if anyone is interested.

securing the domain name should actually be pretty cheap..I've got a few that I pay for now. Adding 1 more to my godaddy account shouldn't be that bad...but that's where my knowledge stops...as you can tell by visiting harmfuljays.com

Well, now that I found out what happened, I'm no longer having anxiety attacks. When Y'all changed, I never thought to re-save this new website because I was redirected all the time. Imagine my shock when I not only couldn't see any hockey games in the Carolinas but couldn't reach OTPII to keep up with things. When I got home I googled it. WHEEEEEWW!

It should be. Now we just need Cali to transfer it to one of us and set up the redirect. If no one else wants to I can do it easily. I already have the godaddy account and enough webspace to choke Raz.
