I have an exhibition ball game tonight, so I'll be listening to the radio broadcast in the dugout.

Win, you lazy shits.

Well, I'm very nervous. Don't mistake my anger and actions post-Game 4 as fairweatherness. I don't want this to end at all.

Score first, for crying out loud. Go five hole, he's opening it up.

First goal scored finally by Plex on the PP, but that fucking Cheeseburger got it back with a brilliant, Andrei Kostitsyn-esque second effort.

But Kovalev, getting double shifted, gets a dirty goal and the Habs are back in front.

Still carrying the play, but oddly enough, less so than the previous 2 games. Laughing

The Flyboys are getting more odd man rushes than I'm comfortable with.

Habs up 2-1 after 1. The chances, according to the CBC folks, were 7-2 late in the first, so nothing much changing on that front. I'll take an early lead as a result of this, and the positive message being sent by Kovy going to the front of the net on both goals. And, due to the double shifting, the 4th line finally scored on Lapierre's wraparound going off Kovy's skate.

Keep it coming, boys. We need this.

I think one of the problems with the Habs this series has definitely been me. I haven't been drinking enough during games. Oh well, tonight I've got some Westerns and won't let the team down.

only started watching in the second. was the 1st that good for montreal? right now, it seems same old same old - chances for the habs, not buried/biron. chances for the flyers, buried.

And Vancouver crowd - can you take back umberger?

Not good. At all.

sask - you may not have been all that premature in dissecting the team...

EDIT - would you consider switching to Halak? Pending on the conversation with Price, of course.

Fall apart express. 20 shots, 3 goals in one period.

Fuck me.

Sam, I don't know.

I can stand being beat by the likes of Briere and Richards. But being beat by that fucking glorified hack Umberger pisses me off to no end. It'd be like if Lapierre or Smolinski scored fucking 8 times in a series.

I'm with you Bruce. It's the people who are shooting, and the type of shots that are getting through that's bugging me. It's a little moot since Price started the 3rd. But I hope Price is learning from this..... because it's not helping the team right now.

I expect a boring, trap-filled 3rd. YESSS!!!!!!! they tied it!!!!!!! Alright Kosty!!! THe A one!!!!

EDIT: thank god - at least the third should be more fun.... especially with another goal by les Habs.

Good on ya Price! Nice pressure save off briere.

This feels like a "fulcrum game".. In 93, it was a series. The Quebec one, where montreal stormed back with one or two OT wins.... It shifted things in favour of Montreal.. This game has the same feeling, in that Montreal's (and Price's) game will speak volumes for any future game.

God, this team was terrible tonight. After the first, they got beat down badly. It wasn't even close.

I take back everything I've said about the Flyers lucking out. It's clear Montreal is far away from learning how to win. You have a team down, and you follow up with your worst period in the whole postseason.

Even if Montreal had converted more early chances, they still would've lost this series.

Someone strip the 'A' from Chris Higgins' jersey. For fuck's sake, get your ass to the net. Show some fucking balls. You score about 20 goals a year from in close, and you refuse to go their on the PP IN THE FUCKING PLAYOFFS. What the hell good are you on the outside on a PP? Let Koivu and Kostitsyn control the perimeter. You can't do that to any success, get your ass to the front. This is EXACTLY why I want Latendresse in more scoring situations and get Higgins out of that role.

Komisarek must have had about 4 hits all series. If he isn't going under the knife this summer, then what the hell was he doing? Even if he is having surgery, he still should've hit more. He didn't get physically engaged with a single Flyer. As a result, all Flyers forwards had it easy. They probably thought they were playing baseball.

That last PP said everything.

I'm not going to get on the goalies. They're young, they're talented, they're more in progress than any other element on this team. They did a hell of a job to this point. But in reality, the guys in front of them didn't do nearly enough, they didn't leave everything out there, and they showed more panic than I did. Philly's guys didn't show panic. When they were getting outplayed, they had comfort in the scoreboard, that they were one bounce, one turnover, one shot away from the lead.

And I hate the loser cheer. Everyone can hate on the crowd for a lot of things, but really, that was the only time they truly pissed me off. They didn't play their best. Let 'em know they didn't finish the job. Don't cheer because they didn't suck all year like the previous dozen plus seasons. This team could've done a lot more than 5-7.

That would hold more water if you didn't choose the Habs for your avatar. Pussy-footing may work in law. Not with me.

On to the non-razz contingent... yeah, the Habs can learn alot from this series. Hopefully it will be like what the Oilers learned vs. the Isles in 83, and the Pens last season. There are holes. And most, if not all, of those holes can be attributed to a young team.... We need more Kosto's who can score in any circumstance, and less Pleks/Kovy's who need the situation in the game to be appropriately open.

And your "noble warriors" still lost to them. What's sadder?

I've never said this before to you Mark, but get the fuck out of this forum right now. I don't have time for this shit. SW can come in here and talk about this series and gloat, but I have no time for this type of random flaming.

FWIW - I agree Bruce. Fun is fun. Bullshit is bullshit. SW's team won - fair and square. Give us the shit. Razz's post? Flaming and trolling. I doubt that's really his style... everything I hear is that he's a pretty cool guy.
