Who was it again that picked them to finish last? I think it was only one or two, wasn't it?

And Razz, historically you've said that the early part of the season doesn't matter and that it's march and april that count Wink

But with that said, it still must be a nice turnaround for once to have the prognosticators looking like the idiot based on predictions Wink

It's December razz. They looked like world beaters last season in December before falling off the face of the earth. Although this season the B's don't have a cancer like Stuart in their dressing room. I didn't pick 'em last, but I don't believe they will make the playoffs either. They're still one season and an owner's selling or passing from that.

unfortunately, even the latter wouldn't solve it
I'm sure he's left the team to his son
(the former will NEVER happen-Jacobs has gone on record saying they'll have to pry this cash cow from his dead fingers)

How are the Bruins a cash cow? They draw poorly and don't make the playoffs in a gate-driven league. They probably don't get any revenue sharing cash either.

Is the NESN deal that sweet or what?

He honestly didn't use the term cash-cow, that was my "correction" Laughing

the team doesn't draw well now, because of what he's done to it since he became more "hands on" right before the lockout.

prior to that, they drew fairly well, and always made the playoffs;
(ok, they started to slide a few seasons before the lockout, but that was also partly due to his meddling and not putting talented players on the ice with his big 3 - pick any 5 year span, the big 3 will be different)
they certainly weren't losing him money or why would he keep the team. He's not one for just keeping it going to "give back to the community"

Somehow he must be making money, he'd cut salary if he wasn't...

Evil or Very Mad

I think he owns his building, for what that's worth... Dunno if him being an NHL owner has any effect on the amount of arenas Delaware North runs the concessions for...

No you wouldn't, because eventually Chara would turn your roster into V8...
