Hatcher bites Zajac; Devils taste victory
Saturday, January 05, 2008
BY RICH CHERE
Star-Ledger Staff
The Philadelphia Flyers used to be fighting mad. Now, having been dominated by the Devils for so long, they're biting mad.
In one of the most bizarre incidents in recent NHL history, Flyers defenseman Derian Hatcher bit the middle finger on Devils center Travis Zajac's left hand last night during a second-period scrum. It drew enough blood to require stitches, and may also draw a suspension after a review from the league. |

Hatcher is such a washed up pussy - I'm surprised people are licking him... _________________ The crowd once again showed its IQ level when it shouted ``U-S-A, U-S-A,'' during the fight. Their hero, Downie, is from Newmarket, Ont. |

The "washed up pussy" scored the GWG against the Panthers back on 12/30 and he can still hit so he is ok, better than having Rory Fitzpatrick out there:

Sorry, but I am taking Hatcher's word (a guy who has played over 1,000 games in the NHL) over a kid like Zajac. _________________

Do we have a YouTube of the bite? Do we know it's Derian's teeth imprinted on Zajac's finger? _________________ John McCain is fit as a fiddle… Is 71 the new 30?” - Fox News' Rich Lowry

By that logic, you'd never convict a child molester. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? Anything that doesn't mention that I masturbate over her memory is probably a good idea."

From the article:
| Quote: |
Hatcher denied biting Zajac, but video replays showed differently. The young center's glove was still in the Philly defenseman's mouth after Zajac pulled his arm back when players converged in front of Flyers goalie Martin Biron.
"All it shows from the angle we have is Trav pulling his hand away and his glove is still in Hatcher's mouth like a dog on a bone," Devils coach Brent Sutter said. "I think the league obviously has to look at that. You've got a player who obviously bit another player in a scrum. That's not something you like to see in a game, let alone by a veteran." |

| Hatcher's also the one that said Jones' hit on Bergeron happens 10 times a game. Which means, of course, that whatever comes out of his mouth is worthy of zero credit. He's just a big, fat, old idiot... |

| His reckless play caught up with him tonight when he tried cleaning the clock of a Leafs player only to take out Lupul. Lupul's helmet when flying off and he cracked his head on the ice. He didn't return to the game... |

Lupul rubs me the wrong way too. A bit of a primadonna who blamed everyone but himself for his terrible season in Edmonton.
That hit was extremely funny though:

What did Marc the rabid dog Savard get for taking a bite out of Tucker? 5 games?
If you asked him, Hatcher would probably tell you that he didn't elbow Lombardi in the face and has no idea how Lombardi got a concussion from that either. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!
