Which will be acompanied by an RW report from the scene. It's a Tuesday night game so don't expect much in, as Av put's it, good's. Injuries to Sakic and Smyth certainly take some of the luster off a good game. Still Colorado has a decent, winning, team that, at this point, could be playoff bound. It will be my first personal look at Paul Stastny so it should be a fun night. _________________ "The greatest victory a man can win is victory over himself."

From some of the links I've seen that Bosc has shared, the Avs give up goals when Ryan Smyth is on the ice... Too bad for us that he's injured... But I'm sure your team won't even notice the difference. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

Yes but the problem more than anything right now is the lack of scoring. The power play has gone from lackluster to downright frigid, and with Smyth gone both Stastny and Hejduk have gone ice-cold. An injury to Cody McCormick, who even though he's a fourth liner was having a big impact on the team providing the edge this team so desperately needs, was almost as big a blow as some of the other injuries befalling the team.
Anyway, no excuses, I hope this one is as entertaining if not more than the last contest. |

Hmmm, I may not be watching this. I asked the gf to come over so I'd cook her dinner and watch a movie. If she has too much work to do, I'll be here... _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Wow, what a snoozer that was. Avalanche need to either admit getting to the playoffs is a pipe dream and start selling or make a deal to somehow patch things up. The defense and goaltending still isn't sufficient and the offense is too banged up to make a difference. You can't just sit and hope they'll get red hot like they did last year. MAKE A MOVE GIGUERE...
Congrats to the Wings. Elite teams find different ways to win. Currently the Avs only know of one way to win. That's the difference. |

I didn't get to see this. What happened Av?
I just watched the replay of the goal. Very nice tap over to Datsyuk.
Man does Holmstrom have some balls and/or no brain and/or trust of his teammates. He's firmly planted in front of Theo when Kronwall gets the pass, takes a couple of steps and pounds a slap shot right at the net from inside the top of the circle _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

I didn't see much of it either. Basically Hasek was good enough and the Wings defense was too much for the weakened Colorado attack to penetrate.
Lately Q has really been pissing me off. He's pulling a Carbo, placing D-men like Kyle Cumiskey and Johnny Boychuk at wing, which has only made a bad offense even worse. |
