I thought about it and it seemed to me that the Whalers stood out in my childhood memories a lot. They played the last game in "The Aud" (Buffalo Memorial Auditorium). My dad and I were there.

Fixed the links for you, Patty. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? Anything that doesn't mention that I masturbate over her memory is probably a good idea."

Whoa. Poor Mark Howe. Why ARE the goals made with that harpoon in the middle? _________________ In a country so proud of its democracy, whyare we trying so hard to convince our children that they are little monarchs? |

My whalers memories are going to Home games vs the rags or Bs and being outnumbered by the fans!
Nice video on the Pecca goal, we get to see a really young looking coach Mo showing that stunned Deer in the headlights pose that we are seeing more and more of this season. |

Holy shit , I seriously just noticed this forum.
Where is the Winnipeg and Quebec forums please , or can we just cram all the WHA teams in with the Whale's forum
favourite Whale memory? I have none lol : Though I liked the Whale , they were the lovable losers of the ADams division , I was pumped for them when they won their reg season division over the Habs and Bruins. Back in the 80s , the Habs were my no.1 most hated team, way more than the Leafs , Oilers or Flames ... so I cheered for them alot ,but dont have good memories caz the Habs beat the Whale alot.
If anything , I remember when they made the blockbuster trade , they dealt Greg Millen for Mike Liut with St.Louis , a few players involved but they were the main dogs and it was a blockbuster at the time.
I remember when Sylvain Turgeon actually was a star and had potential to be a superstar.
Im a closet Jets fan , start a jets discussion and Ill yap about them all day! |
