Only one of the goal scorers from the Habs has 10+ this year.

6 goals on 14 shots. Could be worse. Boston could have Tampa's goalies.

0 points for Kovalev Mad

The habs are in the top five in the league in the 'goals for catagory'

WHAT'S THE SCORE RAZZ?

Dude, it's funny because Kovalev's playing awesome. He had a shift where he lost his glove, got the puck, skated back to his glove, picked it up, put it on, took a check from Chara, and maintained possession. The Habs then played keepaway in the Boston zone for the next minute, mainly between Kovalev, Plekanec, Hamrlik and Bouillon. Smile

Niether of the two goals on Timmay were bad, Auld had some rough ones, though. Boston has stood around a lot, having guys back but not doing much.

I'm not watching this game but anytime I've seen Boston losing games, that's what they're doing and they take a lot of penalties as a result.

That minute of keep away was one of the best things I've seen all year.

I personally would rather see the Russian shoot then skate the perimeter putting on his glove. But whatever you guys like I suppose.

Boston really hasn't been in the box at all. The refs even called matching minors with Ference for Diving.

They are just getting schooled. I think they all hang out at Club Super Sex.

Might be the first 6-1 game where a guy like Bégin is the leading candidate for the first star.

Don't tell anyone... we're 6 points back of Ottawa with a game in hand. Wink

Now if we can only beat Ottawa the way we beat Boston... 5 more games still left vs. the Sens.

Interesting comments by the TSN panel. Said that GM's in the East are calling Montreal the best passing team in the East. Maguire called them the fastest, but I think that would have more to do with the first comment than anything else. Nothing increases the pace quicker than good passing.

The Kosty boys hook up on a sweet PP one-timer.

If only the Habs played with that much intensity against every team.

That's why Mark Streit is so valuable as a defenceman. He likely has the best first pass out of the zone on the team.

Who's one of the fastest skaters in the league with great puck possession skills? Alex Tanguay, that's who.

I remember last year and the year before they just weren't connecting with any of their passes. Perhaps they worked on it a bit...

I'm thinking that the habs today are being built like jersey used to be - a bunch of guys who can skate, pass and are highly coachable with a goalie who can bail them out only if necessary.

The greek dude had a gordie howe tonight...

I love Boston.

If they get the same amount of confidence, and therefore loosen up, with other teams, I think they will - assuming the talent differential is the same.

Well obviously this game wasn't so good Laughing

Third game in four nights, but excuses are extremely lame at this point. Another ass raping by the Habs - don't these idiots realize that 10 great games will be instantly forgotten after one outing against the Habs that is anything less than stellar?

It's a minor point - Montreal would have creamed us no matter what - but I really don't like the league focus away from hitting and physical play. It's what made Buffalo artificially successful last year, and Montreal this year. I get enough fucking soccer at home - when I watch hockey I want to see hitting, fighting, scrums, dust ups, the circus, that's hockey damnit.

What we have now is a bunch of pussy zebras protecting a bunch of pussy Euro-trash skating around like a bunch of fairies, knowing full well that if anyone sneezes on them off to the box they'll go. Take a few hits and then weave your magic, meat...

Oh and before anyone goes off on my "bigot" ass, the euro trash reference is to the plethora of soft, skilled euro wingers the habs and other "skill" teams have. There remain, as always, a good number of tough as nails, hard nosed Euro hockey players, just on other teams...

Yep, those skill guys were the key tonight. Kostopolous, Ryder, Smolinski, Lapierre, Komisarek... all skill, baby.

I'm comfortable knowing we're one of the most physical teams in the league, capped off by the runaway NHL leader in combined toughness (hits, blocked shots, fights) in Komisarek. And then we have the pansies doing the other stuff.

no whining about gooning - one of our soft euros threw down with upchuck - sure he might not have won, but he answered the bell which is more than i can say about that pantywaist savard at other times this year...

I don't get it either razz. The B's are pretty good (not Habs good - but you can always dream) so I can't completely determine why they always get creamed of late. I don't think it's the goon aspect, because the B's aren't much stronger than the Habs. The confidence thing is there, sure. But enough to get routed so badly the last three games?
